Reflect our values. It is acceptable to express disagreement, but it should not devolve into personal attacks, obscenities or other disparaging and hurtful language. Harassment will not be tolerated.

2 Practice civil discourse. Civil discourse is engagement in conversation intended to enhance understanding. Practicing civil discourse requires the respect of other members in the group, and it neither diminishes their moral worth, nor questions their good judgment. It avoids hostility and direct antagonism and requires appreciation for others' experiences.

3 Avoid use of profanity and generalizations. Comments that contain profanity will be removed. Profanity used to insult, antagonize, or inflame may be removed. Comments or posts containing negative generalizations about entire groups of people, racism, bigotry, homophobia or misogyny will also be removed.

❤️ The women of the Junior League have helped expand opportunities across many fields through out history and made their mark in sports, aviation, and literature.
📣 Eudora Welty was a Pulitzer Prize-winning author whose deep appreciation for Southern culture and storytelling made her one of America's most celebrated writers. She also had a connection to the Junior League through her contributions to The Junior League Cookbook, where her love of Southern hospitality and regional cuisine reflected the League's tradition of preserving community recipes and bringing people together. Her legacy continues to inspire generations through both her literature and her celebration of Southern heritage.

𝟭.) 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲?
I joined the league after volunteering at Feed Evansville, seeing the desperate need to fight food insecurity in Evansville especially during Covid.
𝟮.) 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝘆?
In my life, my Daddy inspired me as he was a WWII veteran who always was there to help anyone in need.
𝟯.) 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴?
Volunteering has always been a value instilled upon me at an early age by my Daddy and Grandma. Giving people the gift of your time is more impactful than gift of money my Grandma used to say. We are called to be God's servants, his hands and feet. We're also called to be a beacon of hope to spread light in world of darkness.
𝟰.) 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲?
I have been daycare director for almost 33 years and a huge child advocate. Besides spending quality time with my family, I enjoy volunteering and giving back to my community.
