What started as a Labor Day weekend BBQ quickly turned into a near sell-out by 4 PM! ๐Ÿท๐Ÿ”ฅ

And Post 12190 members got a pretty special surprise along the wayโ€ฆ

The VFW Department of Georgia Commander and Chief of Staff stopped by to show their support and recognize the folks behind the smoker. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

The Department Commander coined our BBQ crew in recognition of their outstanding Community Service and dedication to carrying out the VFW mission: serving veterans, their families, and our communities.

These volunteers put in the work โ€” early mornings, long hours, hot smokers, and a whole lot of BBQ โ€” all to support the Post and give back to the community. ๐Ÿซกโค๏ธ

This year, we have the opportunity to welcome State Commander Arnold โ€œDocโ€ Gonzales home โ€” and itโ€™s happening right here in our area!
