Columbia County Foundation for Children

Columbia County Foundation for Children The Columbia County Foundation for Chiildren (CCFC) We provide services which help strengthen children's foundation for their roles in life.

The CCFFC is governed by an all volunteer board of directors and meets monthly at the office of Bill Beazley Homes in Evans, Georgia. The CCFFC is a member of the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce and a major supporter of the students in the Columbia County School System. Referrals for assistance come largely from counselors and social workers in the school system as well as from the Department

of Family and Children’s Services and area churches. Services include, but are not limited to, financial support, food, clothing, educational support and recreational activities. Ongoing projects of the foundation are the Helping Hands Thrift Store, a Christmas gift program for children, annual need-based college scholarships and financial assistance for summer school and camps.

A heartfelt thank you to Jennie Montgomery WJBF for once again serving as the emcee for our 2026 Barbara C. Beazley Memorial Scholarship & CTAE Grant Reception Friday evening.

Jennie’s continued support of the Columbia County Foundation for Children and the students we serve means so much to our organization and community. We are grateful for the way she helps celebrate and recognize these outstanding scholarship and CTAE grant recipients as they take the next steps toward their future goals.

Thank you also to WJBF NewsChannel 6 for helping share the stories of these deserving students and the impact of educational support in our community.

We are so grateful for the incredible community support behind our CTAE Grant Program this year. Because of our generous sponsors, many of our students will receive matched grants, doubling their award and expanding their opportunities after graduation.

However, we still have several deserving CTAE students whose grants have not yet been matched.

These students have been nominated by their instructors for their dedication, work ethic, and commitment to their chosen career pathways — from skilled trades to healthcare and technical fields.

A $500 sponsorship allows you or your business to:
• Directly support a local student’s future
• Be recognized at our May 8 Scholarship & Grant Reception
• Personally present the award to the student (if you choose)

This is a meaningful way to invest in the next generation of our workforce — right here in our community.

If you or your business would like to sponsor a student, we would love to connect with you.

Message us or email [email protected] to get involved.

Congratulations to the Warriors selected to receive the 2026 CTAE Student Grants. Each $500 grant recognizes a student who has demonstrated dedication to developing career and technical skills and pursuing a path toward meaningful employment and continued education.

These grants are designed to help students with expenses such as tools of the trade, certification fees, work attire, and other program-related needs that support their transition into the workforce.

A big thank you to Christy Darrisaw for her generous donation of hygiene items from our Amazon Wish List to support the Pantry Project at the Columbia County Foundation for Children.

Items like these help us provide essential hygiene supplies to students who may not otherwise have access to them. Requests for these basic necessities continue to grow, and donations like Christy’s allow us to make sure children in our community have the items they need to feel confident, healthy, and ready to learn.

We are so grateful for supporters like Christy who take the time to help in such a meaningful way. 💙
