KITTY KONNECTION KITTY KONNECTION is an all-volunteer GA licensed Animal Shelter operated by Diamonds in the Ruff CSRA

KITTY KONNECTION is a Georgia licensed Animal Shelter operated by Diamonds in the Ruff CSRA, Inc., an IRS registered non-profit 501(c)3 corporation. We began in Sept. 2012 and have adopted out more than 4,900 kittens and cats so far. Our kitties receive needed vet care and are lovingly fostered by our volunteers in their homes. Kittens and Cats of all sizes and colors are up for adoption and available when you are ready to give them their new forever home. You can meet some of our kitties most every Saturday and Sunday at PETCO (Evans, GA) and look at them everyday on Petfinder.com. We are an all-volunteer organization and have no facilities or vehicle expenses. About 38% of our operating revenue comes from adoption fees and another 40% comes from donations and grants. We spend 78% of our budget for vet care and medications, plus another 18% for other direct kitty care items.

About Sully: Meet Sully! He is a sweet kitty who loves pets and loves to play! Sully will take a little bit of time to get to know his people, but he comes out of his shell pretty easily with wand toys and treats. He also loves other cats and would make a great companion to an existing cat; he is very respectful of the resident adult cats in his foster home, and best buddies with the other foster kittens.

About Sonic: Sonic is a quiet guy, with his silky grey-blue fur and expressive golden eyes. He enjoys a nice balance of sun naps, playing with his foster friends, and getting lovins from his favorite humans!

Sonic had quite a rough time before he came into rescue. He might always be a little skittish, but he is a solid companion once he settles in.

Still Available for Adoption! Meet Miso and Shark! This bonded pair is 1 year old.

About Miso and Shark: Shark and Miso are a pair of bonded young male cats. They are from separate litters but have grown to be each other’s emotional support brother!

Both cats give trust very slowly, it took almost a month before they’d greet me or allow any handling.

Shark is more adventurous, but Miso will be social with humans first.

Both boys enjoy the company of other cats and want to include other cats in cuddles and playtime. Their social cues/manners can be awkward and they may incur some bullying from older and more dominant cats. This causes some stress to Miso, but Shark is immune to bullying/dominance displays because he thinks they are playing with him.

Over the course of the last 2-3 months, my resident cats now live in peaceful and amicable co-existence with Shark and Miso, and in my opinion Shark and Miso would transition well into any home.

Miso in particular has shown interest and enjoyment with puppies!

Miso loves to cuddle/sit on laps. He likes to nap on a trusted human (esp if that human is wearing a blanket). He likes to look out of windows to watch birds and lizards. Having a hiding place to run to when he sees strangers or is spooked is important to him.

Both cats love batting toys on the floor, scratching posts, and wand toys! Wand toys are actually their favorites.

Miso rarely makes any sounds except for a “brrrttt” when trying to wake me up for breakfast.

About Chuckie: Chuckie is certainly not like the one from the scary movie. She is a lot like the toddler from Rugrats. She is sweet and a little timid at times. Chuckie enjoys to get petted, but will require some time to gain the trust of a new family. She enjoys running on the cat wheel and dinner time. She loves to nap in the sun on the top of her cat tree. Little Chuck would do best with a friend or 2 and humans that will love her immensely with lots of patience.

About Selena: Meet Selena, an absolute sweetheart who has never met a hand she didn’t want to be petted by! (Once she warms up of course) This girl is the definition of affectionate and absolutely lives for human attention.
Selena purrs almost nonstop and will happily follow you around, searching for your hand so she can get all the pets she possibly can but don’t let that fool you! She has a very goofy and playful side! In a second she will sprint down the hall and around the room with one of her favorite toys untill she’s ready to settle down again.
Selena gets along with other cats but she would need a very slow introduction. She hasn’t been around dogs yet, but she should do wonderfully with children.

She absolutely loves being around her people and will happily follow you from room to room, making sure you're never without a furry companion. If you're looking for a cat who craves affection, Tabitha is your girl!
She'll gently rub against you, ask for endless pets, and chat with you in her soft, sweet voice whenever she wants a little extra love. While she's not a fan of being held for very long—she'll politely hop down after a few seconds—she more than makes up for it by showering you with affection on her own terms. She gets along with cats but has not been around dogs yet.

About Marley: Marley is a beautiful 7-month-old Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever mix with a heart as sweet as her smile! She is playful, energetic, and loves just about everyone — including people, cats, and other friendly dogs.

Marley was rescued after her previous owner relocated for work and was unable to take her along. She is now looking for a loving family who will give her the patience, guidance, and kindness she needs to continue learning and growing.

Marley has already received her initial veterinary care, including deworming and her first puppy vaccine. She is also scheduled to be spayed before going to her new home.
She walks well on a leash and knows some basic commands, but like any young pup, she will need a family willing to continue working with her and teaching her the basics. With her loving personality and playful spirit, Marley is sure to make a wonderful companion! ❤️

About Lieutenant Dan: MEET LIEUTENANT DAN — LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME!

Three legs, a whole lot of love, and a heart that just wants to be adored. Meet LT Dan!

LT Dan was found on the side of the North Augusta Greenway, and this older gentleman has clearly decided that his next chapter should be filled with all the love, comfort, and pets he can possibly get. Despite everything he’s been through, he absolutely LOVES people and would happily soak up attention all day long. If you stop petting him, he’ll probably wonder why! 🥹❤️

LT Dan has had a rough start. He suffered from a terribly bad ear infection, and although he’s doing much better, he sometimes still scratches his ears. We occasionally have to put his cone back on to keep him from injuring them again. He also has FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus). While he is currently very healthy, his FIV can contribute to some chronic upper respiratory symptoms, so he may sound a little stuffy and have occasional sneezes. He has been cleared by his veterinarian for adoption and is ready to find his person!

🏡 What kind of home does LT Dan need?

- A loving home where he can receive ALL the pets, cuddles, and attention his heart desires.
Ideally, a home where he can be the only cat and the center of attention.
- A family willing to keep an eye on his ears and help him when he needs his cone.
- An adopter who understands FIV and is prepared to give him the care, patience, and love he deserves.

FIV-positive cats can live happy, fulfilling lives, and LT Dan deserves the chance to enjoy his golden years surrounded by people who see him for the wonderful boy he is. ❤️

He may be missing a leg, but he is certainly not missing any love to give. All this sweet older gentleman wants is a safe place to call home, a human of his very own, and someone who will never get tired of petting him.
