The Columbia County Chamber Foundation’s Summer Internship Program officially kicks off Monday, June 1, with 20 outstanding students selected by nine employer partners across the region!

Leading the way, Piedmont Augusta Healthcare is hosting 11 of these interns, demonstrating a strong commitment to developing local talent.

With a combined investment of more than $50,000, these employers are not just supporting students - they’re shaping the future of our workforce.

Today’s orientation set the tone for success, with Dr. Lyle Hogue, Vice President of Workforce Development, equipping students with essential soft skills, and Yvonne Meeks of SRP Federal Credit Union delivering a practical Finance 101 session to prepare them for real-world responsibility.

We’re proud to connect education, industry, and opportunity - right here in Columbia County.

If your organization is ready to invest in the next generation of talent, now is the time to get involved. Reach out to learn how you can be part of this growing impact.

Congratulations to the three local students who were awarded with brand new laptops this week! 💻🎉

We were proud to present the prizes to Austin F. of Greenbrier High School, Bella B. of Harlem High School, Harlem, GA, and Caroline S. of Harlem Middle School. They were among the hundreds of students who completed an exploratory scavenger hunt and entered a drawing at our 2026 Career & College Expo last month.

A huge thank you goes to Tiffany Heitzman with Home Builders Association Greater Aiken-Augusta Region for providing the top-notch laptops and to Dr. Brian Campbell with Columbia County School District-Evans, Georgia for partnering with us in connecting students with our workforce community.
