The Edina Band Staff is thrilled to welcome Dagan Hanson as the newest member of our team at Valley View Middle School! Mr. Hanson comes to us from Prior Lake Savage Area Schools where he has served their band team in various roles, exclusively teaching 6th through 8th grade band at Hidden Oaks Middle School. We are excited for Mr. Hanson to share his musical expertise, passion for music, and genuine kindness with our students. He brings a strong reputation as a musician, music educator, and colleague, with a student-centered approach that fosters growth, creativity, and confidence. His dedication to nurturing young musicians and creating a supportive learning environment will be a tremendous asset to our Edina Band Team, the Valley View Middle School Staff, and the Edina School Community!

We have been blessed to have Melody Snyder as part of our Edina Band Family for the past 11 years and will miss her as she starts a new chapter in her career. She’s inspired her students with her high energy, masterful instruction, deep love of music, and has supported their growth as both people and musicians. Our students, families, and staff are all the better for having her as a member of our Edina Team. We know she’ll do amazing things in her new district, and they are extremely lucky to have her join their band staff! Lucky indeed 😊
