📣📣 Apply for the CPSS Community Advisory Committee
Edina Public Schools is looking for parents and caregivers to serve on the Culturally Proficient School Systems (CPSS) Community Advisory Committee (CAC). 📣📣

The committee brings together families and staff from across the district to share perspectives, identify opportunities for growth, and collaborate on ways to strengthen inclusion, belonging, and student success.

When Minnesota voters fill out their ballots this fall, they will be asked to consider amending the state constitution to increase funding to school districts.

We can’t wait to see you at Homecoming on Friday, Hornets! 💚🐝

Look for the Dodopop and pronto pup food trucks in the Community Center parking lot from 4-7 p.m. and stop by the Edina Education Fund table to purchase your blanket. And if you’re an Ed Fund sustaining donor, be sure to pickup your light up necklace to wear to the game — let’s light up the stadium in Edina green!

In addition to voting for school board, municipal, state, and federal candidates this fall, Minnesota voters will also decide whether to approve a bipartisan-supported constitutional amendment concerning the state’s Permanent School Fund.

The Permanent School Fund has supported public education in Minnesota since 1858, growing to more than $2.3 billion through revenue generated from school trust lands and investment earnings. The proposed constitutional amendment would update how annual distributions from the fund are calculated — WITHOUT CREATING OR INCREASING TAXES — while also establishing protections intended to preserve the fund for future generations.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If a voter skips over the amendment on their ballot this fall, it has the effect of being a “no” vote. Learn more about the Permanent School Fund Amendment: https://www.mnpsfamendment.org

All are welcome for this celebration this Thursday from 5:30-8 p.m. in Fick Auditorium.

This fall Minnesotans have the opportunity to vote to update our state’s constitution to pass an amendment to improve how Minnesota’s Permanent School Fund supports students, schools, and communities. Without increasing existing taxes or costing Minnesotans more money!

Minnesota's Permanent School Fund was created nearly 170 years ago. While the fund has grown significantly over time, the way money is distributed from the fund has not kept pace with modern investment practices.

The constitutional amendment would allow Minnesota to modernize the distribution formula so more earnings from the fund can support students today while continuing to preserve the fund for future generations.

CRITICAL INFORMATION: Leaving the ballot question blank counts as a "NO" vote.
