What a day in Annapolis! Yesterday, Leadership Maryland partnered with Maryland Economic Development Association (MEDA) for our "Inside Annapolis: Policy, Process, and Advocacy" day. It was an exclusive full-day behind-the-scenes look at how our state government really works. 🏛️
Participants dove into Maryland's legislative process exploring the makeup of the House and Senate, how a bill moves into law, the power of advocacy, the intricacies of state budget, and practical tips for delivering legislative testimony. The day included a guided tour of the historic Maryland State House, the oldest state house that is still in continuous legislative use in the US!
