Our 2026 auction features a premier lineup, headlined by the masterfully detailed Ring-necked Duck as our Decoy of the Year. Joining it is our storied traveling decoy, a Canvasback, which has spent the season in blinds across Maryland from the Susquehanna Flats to the Eastern Shore. Webster enjoyed a pre-snow hunt on the Choptank River today. Although a lot of ducks and geese were in the area, only a single wigeon committed to the spread. Webster is hoping the colder weather brings some new birds into the area to finish out the season. Stay warm everyone.

Meet Webster! He is a cork decoy carved by Dan Ross from Virginia. Webster was a part of Mr. Ross’ personal rig for several seasons before being donated to our chapter. Webster will be traveling around the Chesapeake Bay region and country this waterfowl season accompanying various people on their hunts. Already this season he has been to North Dakota and a successful black duck hunt in southern Dorchester county. At our dinner on March 22nd, Webster will be auctioned with a journal chronicling his 2023-2024 waterfowl season. Follow us to see where he pops up next!
