Happy Father’s Day from Neighborhood Service Center, Inc. - Talbot County!

Today, we honor fathers and all who step into a fatherly role, providing guidance, encouragement, stability, and support to children and families in our community.

Through our Fatherhood Initiative partnered programs, we help fathers strengthen relationships, build parenting skills, overcome challenges, and create brighter futures for their children. Strong fathers help build strong families, and strong families help build strong communities.

In observance of Juneteenth, the Neighborhood Service Center, Inc. - Talbot County will be closed on Friday, June 19. We encourage everyone to take this opportunity to reflect on the significance of this day and celebrate the rich history, culture, and contributions of Black Americans.

*The ice cream maker you used twice.
*The juicer that was going to change your life.
*The pasta machine from your "make everything from scratch" phase.
*The stack of serving platters that only comes out once every few years.
*The tomato cages waiting for a garden that never happened.
*The decorative pots sitting empty in the shed.

We're looking for those treasures for our Kitchen & Garden Feature Weekend at The Neighborhood Exchange, this June 26-28.

The Neighborhood Service Center, Inc. - Talbot County is collecting much-needed diapers for local families, and we need your help!

We are currently seeking donations of:
✅ Diaper sizes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7
✅Disposable training pants (Pull-Ups)

These larger sizes are in especially high demand for growing babies and toddlers. Every donation helps ease the financial burden on parents and caregivers right here in our community.

As the Neighborhood Service Center’s After School Program comes to a close for the year, students enjoyed a special celebration at one of their favorite places, McDonald’s!

Filled with smiles, laughter, and gratitude, the children proudly held signs that read, “Thank You, Mr. Reggie,” to show their appreciation for the person who made this memorable outing possible.

The Neighborhood Service Center, Inc. - Talbot County is deeply grateful for Mr. Reggie’s generosity and kindness. His thoughtful gesture gave students a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments, create lasting memories, and end a successful program year on a high note.

Did you know the Neighborhood Service Center, Inc. - Talbot County's Free Boutique provides clothing, shoes, and household essentials at no cost to community members in need?

Everyone is welcome, and every donation helps us continue serving our neighbors with dignity and compassion.

📅 Boutique Hours:
Tuesdays & Thursdays
10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

We are currently accepting:
✔️ Gently used, clean clothing
✔️ Gently used household items
✔️ New packaged underwear and socks only

The Free Boutique offers items for women, men, children, and households, helping families stretch their budgets while finding what they need in a welcoming environment.
