Out with the old, and making room for the future!

Watch as our Executive Director, Dina Daly, shares an exciting milestone live from Moton Street. We have officially entered the final phase of demolition with the takedown of the third building—clearing the path for what will soon become the BAAM Career and Technology Center!

Every wall coming down is bringing us one step closer to expanding workforce development, hands-on technical skills, and career pathways for our youth and community.

Drop a 🎉 in the comments to celebrate this major milestone with us and make sure to follow all our social media accounts to stay tuned for the next steps!
The best is yet to come. 💚💛❤

🎥 Highlights from our recent event!

BAAM was proud to host the Maryland Commission on African American History and Culture’s October Monthly Meeting. It was a incredible public hearing focused on preserving and honoring African American history across Maryland.

Special shoutout to our Executive Director Dina Daly (Commission Appointee), along with guest speakers James Redman (Polaris Village Academy) and Dr. James Bell (BAAM) for leading such engaging discussions alongside fellow commissioners.

Setting the room’s frequency before the main event. 🎤 In this clip, Cameron McCoy delivers a gripping spoken word performance that perfectly set the stage as the opening presentation for our author talk with Lawrence Burney.
Cameron’s impact goes far beyond the mic. As our Health and Wellness Coordinator, he works hands-on with the kids in the BAAM Afterschool program, constantly finding new ways to bridge the gap and invite the broader community to take an active part in what we do. Art, wellness, and advocacy intersect seamlessly in his daily presence on our campus.
Beyond his poetry and community leadership, Cameron is also an active recording artist. Performing as Chris Cade, he drops independent Hip Hop and R&B projects. You can find his music on major streaming platforms and follow his journey right here at Chris Cade! 🎵

If you’re looking to start a community initiative that feeds the body, the soul, and their habits, Cameron is the person to contact. Reach out to share your ideas and collaborate at [email protected].
Drop a 🔥 in the comments if you’re loving this spoken word, and don’t forget to check out his music! 🎧
