If you think it’s hard to meet new people, try picking up the wrong golf ball. – Jack Lemmon

⛳️In need of Golfers…LIMITED spots remaining:

And by “golfers,” we mean literally anyone.

If your flex is that you’ve golfed 20 years, you’re in.

If your flex is that you’ve golfed twice, you’re in.

If your flex and primary skill is driving the cart and providing commentary, you’re in.

If you’re looking to get out of the house and away from your spouse for a few hours, you’re in.

Our tournament is built for fun, not perfection.

So gather your crew, pick a team name that’s probably savage, and come spend a day on the course supporting local community projects.

Tag your buddies. You don’t have to be from Durango; you just have to sign up so we can ensure that you have food, a name on your golf cart like your as important as Scottie Scheffler, and an opportunity to win some fun prizes and flex that you had one of the longest men/women’s drive on the course.

Every sunrise is proof that we get another shot at it.

Most people will scroll right past this sunrise. Don’t be most people…even though we’re the noon club, to us another sunrise is…

Another chance to be kinder.
Another chance to show up.
Another chance to make a difference.

We dare you to do one good thing today that nobody asked you to do.

Buy the coffee.
Send the encouraging text.
Pick up the piece of trash.
Leave the better tip.
Compliment the stranger.
Volunteer for the thing.

And if you’re looking for a group of people who take that challenge seriously every day, come hang out with us. That’s what Rotary is all about - ordinary people doing small and big things that make our community better just by virtue of getting up and getting another day to make the world a lot better than the day before.

Morning, noon, or night, there’s a place for you.

Daybreak, High Noon, Evening. Rotary is showing up in communities everywhere, with room for every age, stage, and season of life.

The year goes fast. The impact doesn’t...

A year ago, our club and these host families gained a family member. Today, we said goodbye.

Jed came to Durango from Uganda through the Rotary Youth Exchange program and what started as a hosting commitment turned into something we didn’t have words for until it was over, which happens year after year. We bond with these students, they come a Durango community member, a family member, a extra sibling or kid you never had, a friend, a student, a mentor and a lifelong international bestie to meet up with as the years go on.

He leaves with a piece of this community in him. And honestly? He left a piece of himself here too.

This is why Rotary exists. Not just to connect the world on paper, but to put a kid from Uganda at a dinner table in Colorado and watch something remarkable happen.

If you’ve ever thought about becoming a host family, this is your sign. Talk to us. It’ll change your life as much as it does for your exchange student.

We can’t wait to see what happens in your future, Jed. Thanks for letting us be a small part of it. See you again. 🙏✈️

🏡 Durango, let’s be real -

Could YOU afford your first home in Durango today?

It’s a question affecting our workforce, our families, our businesses, and the future of our community.

This Thursday, the Durango High Noon Rotary Club welcomes HomesFund to discuss the realities of homeownership in Southwest Colorado, the challenges local families face, and the programs helping turn the dream of homeownership into reality.

Because strong communities aren’t just built by houses—they’re built by the people who can afford to call them home.

📍 Elks Lodge
🕛 12:00 PM Noon
📅 Thursday, June 11

Speaker Spotlight 📣 Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering aka Durango Cowboy Gathering

Before podcasts, there were cowboys swapping stories around a campfire.

This Thursday, we’re welcoming Karren Little from the Durango Cowboy Gathering to share the magic behind one of Durango’s most beloved traditions. The Gathering brings together poets, musicians, storytellers, and western enthusiasts from across the country to celebrate the culture and heritage of the American West.

No horse required. Boots optional. High noon | Elks Club

Join you Durango High Noon Rotarians on Thursday at noon and discover why cowboy poetry is still riding strong.

As always, if you’ve been searching for a place where neighbors become friends, ideas become action, and community comes first, hitch your wagon to ours in Rotary and join us this Thursday. You should be here.
