A Twins win, a giant wizard, and plenty of turkey legs. Two individuals from Fairview had quite a two days in the Twin Cities with two members of the DRCC staff. They cheered at Target Field, then explored the Renaissance Festival for 7.5 hours. Their verdict: let's do it again next year.

Huzzah from Shakopee.

Mari spent Saturday at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival, flower crown on and umbrella ready. Fresh henna, a turkey leg roughly the size of her arm, and a little rain that never slowed her down. Thank you to the staff who made the day happen and shared the photos.

DSP Recognition Week is about the people behind the work.

Round two of the drawing is done. Another 41 members of the DRCC team went home with $50, and one more won a $250 Walmart gift card. The prizes are a small thank you. The real one is the individuals supported with dignity every day because of these staff. Congratulations to everyone whose name was drawn.

Supporting someone to live their own life is quiet work, and it matters more than most people realize.

Find us at the Virginia Market Square farmers' market on Thursday, September 17, from 2:30 to 6:00. DSPs start at $18.25 an hour, CNAs at $21.25, and awake overnights pay a dollar more. Applications filled out at the booth get a ticket into a drawing for three $100 gift cards.
