The Take-a-Kid fishing event was a success. 53 wonderful kids were able to enjoy some great fishing on Fish Lake out of Hi Banks Resort. Thank you all who participated. If you didn't catch the post from Chuck Hegg please enjoy reading it below.

"Yesterday we had our 20th annual Take a Kid Fishing Tournament. The weather was perfect for everyone to be on the water.
We had kids from Northwood Children’s Services along with The Valley Youth Center.
Thank you to Brent Wetzel and his great crew from NCS along with Russ Salgey from VYC who work so hard for these kids. I also need to thank the captains/guides from the Twin Ports Walleye Assc. along with Jim and Mason who volunteered with there boats! I’d like to think all of us had as much fun as the kids did.
Thank you to Tim Wagner from Highbanks Resort who once again hosted this event. Greg Beach from Catch a Moment, Russ and family from Marine General for their generous contributions and the TPWA members who bought raffle tickets to help support this event!!!! 🎣🎣🎣"

Just a quick reminder that our monthly meeting is tomorrow night at the VFW in Proctor, starting at 7 p.m., just like always. We're happy to assist with any questions about The 2026 Mac Sport & Marine Shootout registration. We lost a volunteer boat last night for this weekend. The annual Take-a-Kid fishing event is happening this weekend on Fish Lake. We help take underprivileged kids fishing. It's usually about a half day of fun, but it's incredibly rewarding to take them out. We would love your help on Saturday. If you can message us, we'll connect you with Lucky Chuck to help!
