Our Rotary clubs is a service organization with a hands on enviormental focus.

We meet @ Blackwoods in Duluth again on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays at 4:45pm (with hybrid option for remote members) and typically have one service project per month.

It was Visitor Night at Duluth-Superior Eco Rotary this past Tuesday. To communicate the unique culture of our club, Kay B**a spoke on the founding vision of Eco, and then a panel took questions from the audience and shared their perspectives on being a Rotarian. Our next meeting is Tuesday, October 27 at 5:00, and guests are always welcome. Rotary District 5580

Eco Rotarians hit the road this past Sunday afternoon for the fall round of Adopt a Highway litter pick-up on our two-mile stretch of Grand Avenue in the vicinity of Spirit Mountain. While we were at it, we extended our charge and cleared a few storm drains along the way. Rotary District 5580

For our Tuesday, September 22 meeting, Eco Rotary is excited to welcome Lynn Reins, Chief Executive Officer of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northland. She will speak on the work her organization is doing with youth and teens in our community.

We meet at Blackwoods on London Road from 5:00-6:00, arrive as early as 4:45 for fellowship. Visitors are always welcome.

Duluth-Superior Eco Rotary was in action this past weekend, hard at work to ensure that Harvest Festival 2026 was a waste-free event! Hats off to everyone who helped out!

Our Tuesday, September 8 meeting will feature guest speaker Emma Pardini, Sustainability Specialist at Resource Renew and a fellow Eco-Rotarian. Her topic will be “Recycling 101,” diving into the nuts and bolts of the systems behind the "weird rules about what goes in which bin."

Eco Rotary meets from 5:00-6:00 (or come at 4:45 to socialize) at Blackwoods on the Lake. Guests are always welcome.

It was a big day for the Eco Dragons at the Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival! With perfect weather and a stellar, fun-loving team we placed 20th out of the 36 participating teams.

The festival is organized by Superior Rotary, and funds raised will go to Second Harvest Northland.

Eco Rotary's speaker this coming Tuesday, August 25, is Alexis Elder, who will speak on the Ethical Concerns Regarding Artificial Intelligence.

Alexis is an Associate Professor of Philosophy and head of the Department of Philosophy at UMD. She is the author of two books: The Ethics of Digital Ghosts: Confucian, Mohist, and Zhuangist Perspectives on AI and Death, and Friendship, Robots, and Social Media: False Friends and Second Selves.

We meet from 5:00-6:00 at Blackwoods on London Road, and guests are always welcome.

Eco Rotary is excited to welcome Damiano Center Executive Director Seth Currier to our next meeting on Tuesday, August 11. His presentation will include the new collaboration between Damiano, Union Gospel Mission and CHUM.

We meet at Blackwoods on London Road from 5:00-6:00, and visitors are always welcome.

Eco Rotary's August Fun Foods Night was held this past Sunday at the home of Mark and Karen Niedermier. The weather was perfect for hanging out on the deck and enjoying a plant-based meal that included summer harvest paella and an coconut milk ice cream cake from Love Creamery!

It's been a busy week for Duluth Superior ECO Rotary! First we held a fundraiser at a Huskies game, working as volunteer beertenders and collecting tips to support future RYLA students. Then we were on the road again for a field trip meeting at Hartley Nature Center where we learned about the valuable restoration initiatives underway there.
