This week, state Flex Programs from across the country will gather for the Flex Rural Health Convening. Our theme for this event is "Rural Health Networks: Evolving Models Offer Promising New Approaches for Rural Hospitals."

This event will explore the emergence and evolution of rural health networks, allowing for a better understanding of the value they provide. Flex Program attendees will listen to panel presentations and participate in group discussions. Topics include beneficial network activities, success factors, and lessons learned. Attendees will enhance their network understanding and learn how Flex activities complement the development of networks involving Critical Access Hospitals.

The National Rural Health Resource Center is excited to coordinate this event with the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)'s Federal Office of Rural Health Policy and the National Rural Health Association. The event will take place this week in Bethesda, MD.

Participating health care organizations receive technical assistance to improve financial position and increase operational efficiencies. Services provided include:

- Comprehensive, multi-year technical assistance through objective analysis and assessments
- Identifying clinical areas for expansion
- Assisting leaders with development of action plans and implementation of best practices
- Improving financial and operational performance and quality of care

DRCHSD is a federally funded program of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)'s Federal Office of Rural Health Policy. In collaboration with the Delta Regional Authority, the program provides technical assistance to rural hospitals and clinics in the Mississippi Delta region.
