We had a beautiful service last Sunday, celebrating Mtr. Susan as our new rector! The bishop will be here for the official installation on December 16, but we couldn't wait that long to pray for her and rejoice that she is here.

A Prayer in Memory of 9/11

Almighty and Loving God,
words fail to capture the grief of this day.
We pray for those who mourn loved ones lost,
for those injured who still bear the wounds,
for those who cannot find peace.
We pray that we would, today and everyday,
say no to hatred and yes to love,
and see you in all we meet.
We pray for the leaders of the world,
that they may walk paths of gentleness
with each other,
for your peace to prevail,
and all to be transformed by your Spirit of Love,
so that no place or people
would ever experience such a day again.
In the name of Jesus
and by the power of the Spirit.
Amen.
