🎨 Who’s helping shape the creative identity of downtown Dubuque?

The Artist / Creative of the Year award recognizes the people whose work brings imagination, energy, and character to our downtown. From visual art and design to performance, photography, music, and beyond.

If someone’s creativity has made an impression on you this year, nominate them for a 2026 State of Main Award.

🛍️ A new storefront has joined Central Avenue!

Please join us in welcomingFinders Keepers, a new thrift store now open at 1476 Central Avenue.

Finders Keepers is owned and operated by Dubuque native Jennifer Perry and marks Jennifer’s first independent small business. A longtime thrift-store shopper herself, Jennifer saw an opportunity to bring another thrifting option to downtown Dubuque and decided to turn that idea into a business of her own.

Along with a rotating selection of thrifted items, Finders Keepers also provides space for locally made goods, including artwork, paintings, and creations from other local makers and small DIY businesses. The store also accepts donations.

Congratulations to Jennifer on taking the leap into small-business ownership and opening another storefront along the Central Avenue corridor!

Food Fest Friday is TODAY! 🍴🎶

Spend your lunch break with us at Washington Park from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM for food, live music, and a little time outside in the heart of downtown.

We’ll be joined by local musician Jesse Polkinghorn, performing at Food Fest Fridays for the first time!

Grab a friend, bring a lawn chair if you’d like, and come hang out with us over lunch.
