Loras DUTHON

We’re all in, all year, raising funds for the University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children’s Hospital — all for the kids.

Hundreds of Loras students come together and stay on their feet for 12 consecutive hours without caffeine to support the patients who have been treated at the University of Iowa’s Children’s Hospital. On the night of the event we dance, play games, have theme hours, food, and miracle stories from families who have received services from CMNH.

Kyleigh, Mary, Gavin, and Sam had a blast at the Ignite Peer-to-Peer Leadership Conference in Indianapolis! They learned a lot and are coming back to campus with so many ideas! It was such a powerful weekend of engaging with so many people with a great passion for this cause! Looking forward to another great year of DuThon!

and hosted the 2026 Co-Curricular Awards!

This event recognizes the dedication and accomplishments of student organizations and leaders who make a lasting impact on our campus.

Duthon was honored with the Community Impact Award!!!

We’re also so proud of our incredible leaders:
• Our co-president, Kyleigh Schwendeman, for being named Outstanding Student Leader of the Year
• Matt Kruse, Director of Recruitment, for receiving the Duhawk Spirit Award
• Sam Giglio, Director of Morale, for being awarded Outstanding President in an Organization
