Mental Health America of Dubuque County We work to ensure the mental health of the Dubuque community through education, advocacy and collaboration.

Whether or not we have a mental illness or know someone who has experienced such a problem we all have mental health. We may not think much about mental health or even use the phrase but it’s a common element in all our lives. Some of us call it a state of mind , being content, or feeling good about yourself. Mental health is perhaps best explained as how we cope with daily life and the challenges it brings. When our mental health is good we can deal better with what comes our way.

o better understand and address the health needs of our community, UnityPoint Health – Dubuque, in partnership with local public health and community organizations, is asking residents to participate in the 2026 Community Health Assessment (CHA) survey.
Nonprofit hospitals across the country conduct Community Health Assessments every three years to identify and prioritize the most pressing health concerns facing their communities. Survey responses help healthcare organizations better understand local needs and develop plans to improve the health and well-being of residents.
The online survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, and all responses are anonymous. Information gathered through the survey will help guide future community health initiatives, programs, and services throughout the Dubuque area.
The survey is open through July 1. Community members are encouraged to share their perspectives and experiences to help shape the future of healthcare in Dubuque. Results of the assessment will be shared publicly following the completion of the survey and analysis process.
