Proud to Be Part of. Arise Detroit Neighborhood Day💜🏡

This past Saturday, Union Grace Community Development Corporation was honored to participate in Neighborhoods Day 2026 alongside so many organizations committed to strengthening our communities.

Because of our incredible partners, volunteers, and supporters, we were blessed to serve 307 community members, distribute 250 backpacks filled with school supplies, raffle 13 bicycles and 2 computers, and connect families with vital health, education, employment, government, and community resources.

Neighborhoods are transformed when churches, nonprofits, businesses, government agencies, and neighbors come together with a shared purpose. We are grateful to for creating opportunities that inspire collaboration, hope, and lasting impact throughout the city.

Thank you to every volunteer, sponsor, partner, and community member who helped make the UGCDC Community Jubilee a success. Together, we’re building stronger neighborhoods, one act of service at a time.

A huge shout out to Roderick Fields for answering the call to serve at the UGCDC 2026 Community Jubilee!

Roderick saw our post asking for volunteers and didn’t just show up himself. He also invited a bunch of his friends to join him in serving our community. That’s what community is all about.

Thank you, Roderick, for giving your time, your heart, and your willingness to make a difference. Your example reminds us that one “yes” can inspire another, and together we can have an even greater impact.
