Chapter History

Beta Epsilon chapter was founded on November 14, 1999 with a line of 7 founding brothers: Miguel Olvera, Jose Cazares, Tomas Dybas, Gerald Klebsch, Gustavo Rivera, Danny Villegas, Fernando Cazares. The seven founding brothers decided on a name for the udm chapter and since that moment beta epsilon has been known as “the knights of no mercy” Now, with several brothers as alumni and other brothers carrying on the legacy beta epsilon stands tall amongst organizations at udm.

🎁 Lambda Holiday Drive | Supporting Academy of the Americas 🎄

This holiday season, we’re partnering with Academy of the Americas Elementary School in Southwest Detroit to help stock their Christmas Cub Store — a special place where students can redeem their hard-earned “cub cash” for gifts that bring them joy during the holidays.

We’re collecting new and gently used toys to help make this year extra special for the kids who’ve worked hard all semester. Every donation, big or small, goes a long way in making their holiday season brighter. ❤️

🚨 It’s almost that time — the 3rd Annual Lambda Golf Outing is right around the corner! Join us Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Rouge Park Golf Course in Detroit for a great day on the green — all for a good cause.

📍 Location: Rouge Park Golf Course
⏰ 8AM Registration | 9AM Shotgun Start
💵 $100 per person | $400 per team

This event, hosted by the Beta Epsilon Chapter at University of Detroit Mercy and supported by the Lambda Psi Alumni Chapter, helps support Lambda’s mission to empower Latin men through scholarship, opportunity, and community service.

All proceeds go toward impactful efforts, including:
• Academic & leadership development on Detroit campuses
• Scholarships for UDM students
• Resources for student-athletes
• Our annual Lambda Toy Drive
