For the first time, experience a glimpse into the life, legacy, and prophetic voice of Rev. Dr. Frederick G. Sampson II.

Coming February 2027, I THINK I SAID SOMETHING tells the story of one of the most consequential preaching voices of his generation, a preacher, theologian, truth-teller, and fearless advocate who believed faith was never meant to remain within the four walls of the church. Faith had to move. Faith had to confront. Faith had to fight for people.

Featuring never-before-seen archival footage and powerful reflections from Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Wright, Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, Rev. Dr. Frederick D. Haynes III, Rev. Dr. Kevin Cosby, Rev. Dr. Lance Watson, Rev. Carolyn Knight, Dr. Frank Thomas, and more.

More than two decades after his passing, the sermons still preach. The lessons still teach. The truth still challenges us. And the voice still echoes.

Rev. Dr. Frederick G. Sampson II said something.

In February 2027, the world will hear it again.

Today, we celebrate the birthday of a legend. A preacher. A teacher. A truth-teller. A man whose voice didn’t simply fill sanctuaries, it challenged minds, moved communities, and helped shape generations.

Happy Birthday, Rev. Dr. Frederick G. Sampson.

Named by Ebony among America’s greatest Black preachers, Dr. Sampson possessed a rare gift: the ability to make the Gospel live beyond the pulpit. His preaching confronted injustice, demanded accountability, affirmed the dignity of Black people, and reminded us that faith without action was never enough.

And his story deserves to be remembered.

Coming February 2027, I Think I Said Something is a feature-length documentary celebrating the extraordinary life, ministry, impact, and enduring legacy of Rev. Dr. Frederick G. Sampson.

Through rare archival footage, unforgettable sermons, personal stories, and intimate conversations with some of the most influential voices in faith and culture, the film introduces Dr. Sampson to a new generation while honoring the generations forever changed by his ministry.

Because legends never truly leave us.

Their words remain.
Their work continues.
Their impact lives on.

Today, we celebrate the man. In February, we tell his story.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Sampson. We think you said something—and the world is still listening.
