First Tee - Greater Detroit

10/05/2026

Thanks to the tremendous support of our sponsors, golfers, donors, volunteers, and everyone who helped make our 100 Hole Marathon at Chandler Park Golf Course a success, we raised an incredible $50,507!

Every hole played, dollar raised, and hand lent helps First Tee – Greater Detroit continue building game changers by providing young people with opportunities to grow through the game of golf. Your support helps us empower youth with the life skills, confidence, and character they need to thrive both on and off the course.

A special thank-you to our presenting sponsors, TI Automotive and the Milicia Family Charitable Trust, as well as everyone who made this day possible. We are grateful for your commitment to our mission and the young people we serve.

🏌️‍♂️ 100 holes. One day. A whole lot of golf. ⛳️

The First Tee Greater Detroit 100 Hole Marathon is happening THIS WEEK! 💚

Who’s ready? 👀🔥

09/23/2026

Golf is just the beginning. 🏌️‍♂️💚 At First Tee, kids learn so much more than the game. They’re building confidence, learning how to set goals, work through challenges, respect others, and find their voice — skills they can take with them wherever life leads. And with 90%+ of our families coming back season after season, we love seeing our Game Changers continue to grow both on and off the course. 🏆

We’re proud to share the momentum behind our 100 Hole Marathon! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, the Chandler Park location alone has raised just over $33,000 to help us continue teaching life skills through the game of golf.

We are also thrilled to welcome the Milicia Family Charitable Trust as a Presenting Sponsor. Their leadership and commitment are helping make an even greater impact for the young people we serve

The fundraising isn’t over yet—every gift helps create more opportunities for youth to build confidence, resilience, and essential life skills both on and off the course. Please consider making a donation today and sharing the campaign with your network: https://charity.pledgeit.org/FTGD100HoleMarathon

Thank you for helping us drive this mission forward!

🏌️Celebrating another great season of PGA Jr. League 🏌️‍♀️

Last Sunday, we brought our First Tee - Greater Detroit PGA Jr. League participants together at Saint John’s Resort for a fun-filled celebration of an incredible season! 🎉

A huge thank you to Saint John's Resort for welcoming us and giving our players the opportunity to enjoy the Little Cardinal Par 3 Course. It was the perfect setting to celebrate the season, the friendships, and all the growth that happened along the way.

We’re so grateful to every player, coach, family, and support who made this PGA Jr. League season possible. Year after year, we continue to see this program grow — and more importantly, we get to see young golfers grow right alongside it. From learning new skills on the course to building confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship, and friendships, PGA Jr. League is about so much more than golf.

We’re incredibly excited about the future of our PGA Jr. League and can’t wait to see where this program goes next! 🚀⛳️

Here’s to another great season in the books — and many more to come! 🙌

The quote featured in this graphic comes from Matthew Johnston, First Tee–Greater Detroit Board Member and Co-Chair of the 100 Hole Marathon. His words capture what makes this event so meaningful: it is not simply about completing 100 holes—it is about investing in the potential of young people throughout our community.

The 100 Hole Marathon brings together dedicated golfers, generous sponsors, and community supporters to help First Tee–Greater Detroit provide young people with opportunities to build confidence, develop essential life skills, and grow through the game of golf.

We are grateful for leaders like Matt who champion our mission and help make a lasting impact on the next generation. Join us in supporting the 100 Hole Marathon and the young people we serve.
