This November, Proposal 1 asks Michigan voters whether to open our state to a constitutional convention — and a potential rewrite.

For decades, Michiganders have fought to build and strengthen the civil rights and liberties protected by our constitution, from reproductive freedom to voting rights and beyond. A constitutional convention could roll back progress and allow wealthy special interests to come into our state and rewrite our constitution.

As ACLU of Michigan Executive Director Loren Khogali explains, we already have a way to make thoughtful, targeted changes to our constitution. The rights we’ve fought for deserve to be protected.

Vote NO on Proposal 1 on or before November 3.
