We proudly recognize Audrina Bryant for earning the WLEA scholarship for 2026! 🎉 We can't wait to see all you accomplish, Audrina!

Congratulations to Audrina Bryant on receiving the WLEA scholarship for 2026! Audrina participated in the Educators Rising program through the ISEA, and is planning to study early childhood education, starting at Muscatine Community College before transferring to the University of Iowa. We are so proud of you, Audrina!

The mission of the West Liberty Education Association is to work to improve education for all students in the West Liberty Community School District while representing and advocating for our members. This scholarship is a part of this mission, and we would love to welcome Audrina back as a colleague here at West Liberty Community School District!

The teaching profession feels like Rodney Dangerfield’s line, “I tell ya, I get no respect.” Why do professionals dedicated to the future of kids feel this way?

Today, we celebrate World ESP Day. 🌍

To the paraeducators, bus drivers, custodians, food service workers, secretaries, nurses, security staff, tech specialists, and maintenance crews in every Iowa school district, you are public education. You're the first smile students see in the morning and the last wave goodbye in the afternoon. You keep our buildings safe, our kids fed, our classrooms running, and our communities connected.

Education Support Professionals make up roughly one-third of the public education workforce. They deserve more than one day of thanks; they deserve thriving wages, strong benefits, professional respect, and a real seat at the table.

Today and every day, ISEA is proud to stand with you.

Attention members currently enrolled in ISEA Academy Courses – the learning management system we use for most ISEA Academy Courses (Canvas) is currently down due to a security incident.

The company does not know when it will be back online. Instructors will be granting additional time to complete courses if needed. We encourage members to be in direct contact with their instructors. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available. Thank you.

It’s Black Teacher Appreciation Day.

Today, we honor Black educators whose classrooms are places of resistance, joy, belonging, and freedom.

As we mark the 100th anniversary of Black History Month and honor the legacy of Carter G. Woodson, let's recommit to building the Black teacher pipeline because representation in the classroom is an act of freedom.
