The Des Moines Community Union is an organization built to give the average working class person a voice and to provide our neighbors with a vehicle to drive positive change. We care about each other and want to improve our circumstances, together. DMCU takes what we've learned from previous community organizations and traditional labor unions and combines them in a way that puts the people in our
community first and the problems we all face as priority. When someone in the community is facing a problem, whether it be low wages, discrimination, abuse, or any injustice, then we as a community can rally around them for support. DMCU isn't just another organization campaigning for unattainable goals that uses partisan strategies to divide us through any means...we are an organization FOR our community that acts TOGETHER. When change needs to happen, we will work to fix it, as a community, immediately. People shouldn't have to suffer while we wait for the ruling class to finally decide to serve the People.
