Join us for our Community Champions Crawl, an opportunity to learn more about organizations in the Des Moines area.

On this route, we will visit Oakridge Neighborhood and Ronald McDonald House along 15th Street in Des Moines. At each stop, we will explore the organization’s services and partnerships within the community, followed by a Q+A session. We will walk between each stop.

Huge shout-out to Kaleb and Dan from Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity for guiding us through an engaging (and surprisingly competitive) first-time homebuyer simulation! We learned a ton and gained a deeper appreciation for the support available to aspiring homeowners.

We're so thankful for the one-on-one pre-purchase housing counseling Habitat offers, helping people build a customized roadmap to homeownership. Such an incredible service and impact for our community!

Join us next Tuesday, July 14, at 5:30 PM for Jazz in July at Hoyt Sherman Place on the EMC Plaza.

Enjoy FREE jazz music on the lawn, along with a bar and food trucks, or feel free to bring your own picnic to share. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to relax and enjoy the music outdoors. Dogs are welcome!
