This concern about the situation gives her the gumption to be the key associate to a visiting labor union organizer. Des Moines International Airport says its TSA Gold+ review is over after TSA scrapped the initiative. Officials still want advanced screening technology for the new terminal.

Gold+ would hand DSM airport screening to a private contractor. It would cost 68 TSA officers their federal jobs. They can reapply to the contractor for the same work at lower pay, with less training and no federal protections, which is how this program ends up with a workforce that turns over faster than it can be trained.
