🍝 Well, that was a short-lived Italian vacation! 😂

Apparently, our menu got a little ahead of itself this morning! We originally announced lasagna for our Community Meal, but there's been a delicious plot twist...

Lasagna is OUT, and MEATLOAF is IN! 🍽️

We apologize for the confusion! Sometimes even our menus need a little morning coffee before making decisions. ☕🤣

We look forward to seeing everyone for a hearty, home-cooked meatloaf meal! ❤️

Our Third Thursday Free Community Meal is this evening (10/15) from 5:30-6:30 PM.

Meals are carry-out only and can be ordered by calling 740-369-4520. You may leave a voicemail with your name, phone number, and the number of meals you would like.

🍂 THE ANNUAL OCTOBER BAG CHALLENGE! 🛍️

If you’ve been looking for a way to make a difference in your community, here’s an easy way! 👇

From October 13–30, we’re challenging YOU to fill a bag with some (or all!) of these 10 everyday essentials and donate them to Common Ground Free Store Ministries.

Why? Because basic necessities shouldn’t be out of reach. 💙

A bottle of shampoo, a fresh pair of socks, or a tube of toothpaste might seem like a small thing to you, but for a neighbor who needs a little help, these everyday essentials can make a real difference. Everyone deserves to feel clean, cared for, and confident! Together, we can make that happen!

🛍️ HERE’S YOUR CHALLENGE:

Fill a bag with any combination of these 10 items:

Shampoo
Conditioner
Body wash
Toothpaste
Toilet paper
Deodorant
Boys’ underwear
Boys’ socks
Women’s underwear
Women’s socks

📣 MAKE IT A CHALLENGE!

Tag your friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, or your favorite group of people. Challenge them to fill a bag, too! Make it a friendly competition. Can your office fill 10 bags? Can your family fill 5? How many bags can our community collect together?

Every bag counts. Every item matters.

Then bring them to: Common Ground’s Donation Center: 147 E. Winter Street, Delaware, Ohio

⏰ Donation Hours:
Monday: 10 AM–1 PM
Tuesday: 6–8 PM
Wednesday: 10 AM–1 PM
Thursday: 6–8 PM
Saturday: 10 AM–12 PM

🗓️ October 13–30

Don't just scroll past the challenge! Grab a bag, gather some essentials, and tag someone to join you!

Let's see what our community can do when we all pitch in! 💙

We received this message from one of our volunteers:

“I love working there. I feel useful and needed.”

This is the side of volunteering that doesn’t get talked about as much:

You get to be part of something that really matters.
You get to use what you’re good at.
You get to meet people you might never have crossed paths with.
You get to know that your time actually made a difference.

We have plenty of ways to get involved at Common Ground and we’d love to have you!

Come be useful. Come be needed. Come find your people!
