The Fall Fabric & Sewing Stuff Sale!

Friday, October 2 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. and
Saturday, October 3 from 9 a.m. - Noon

We’re busy sorting, organizing, measuring and pricing items….there’s a lot! We’ll be adding stuff right up to the day of the sale!
The sale will feature:
Thousands of yards of quilting cotton
Hundreds of fat quarters
Over 1000 one-pound color-coordinated grab bags of quilting cotton.
Dozens of charm-packs of quilting cotton
Quilting books, patterns and project kits.
Embroidery and Cross-Stitch – lots of floss and kits.
Thread, Velcro, ribbons and zippers.
Suede leather hides
Random rolls of fabric
Buttons
Sewing notion grab bags
Lots of yarn
Polyurethane Laminate (PUL) – waterproof for diapers, bibs, wet bags

Please note: because we did a garment-weight fabric sale recently, there will be minimal garment-weight fabrics at this sale.

One Free 6000-yard cone of poly corespun thread (tex 40) with $10 purchase (while supplies last)

The sale is on Friday, October 2 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturday, October 3 from 9 a.m. – noon! No early birds please. Doors will open promptly at 4 p.m. on Friday.

The address of the sale is 660 S. Main Street, Dayton, OH (Goodwill Easter Seals Building).
Please come to the outer doors marked with signs and yellow balloons (parking lot side of building).
Please DO NOT block the Goodwill drive-thru donation area.
Cash or Cards only.
Please help us by bringing your own bags!

Heads up! The Dayton Sewing Collaborative will be on summer break from August 23 until September 5 for a well-deserved break.
There are no scheduled events or open hours.
Sew It Forwards Saturdays on August 22 and September 5 will happen.

Since the Dayton Daily News article about the Dayton Sewing Collaborative was published in mid-June, we’ve been inundated with donations. ‘Sew’ many donations! The generosity shown by the Dayton community never ceases to amaze us! We’ve already used some to make items for local community organizations, such as: blankets and fidget blankets for the Dayton VA Medical Center; pocket hugs and marble mazes for Crayons to Classrooms, hats for HTC Dayton; Dayton Dream Center....to name a few.

We’ve been overwhelmed with offers of donations coming in via messenger, phone calls, emails, voicemails. We’ve tried to respond to each offer, but we’re concerned that some of the donation offers may have fallen through the cracks. If any of you have reached out to us regarding a donation and you haven’t been contacted yet, please send a message, email ([email protected]) or call 937-476-1455 or 937-528-6384 (please leave a message).

If you were at the sale today and realize that you didn't pay for your purchase, please reach out to us. I was checking someone out and got distracted and forgot to scan their credit/debit card 🙄
The transaction was for $50. I know it wasn't intentional on your part, it was completely my mistake.

Thanks for coming out to support the Dayton Sewing Collaborative at the flash sale of apparel / garment weight fabric and needleport sale. The proceeds of the sale goes directly to support our workforce development program, Dayton Train to Sew. The proceeds allow us to continue to offer this training program for FREE. We couldn't do what we do with the support of our generous community!

Big thanks to all of the volunteers that spends hours preparing for the sale by cutting, measuring, tagging, hauling and working the sale. They are the lifeblood of this organization.

Our next sale is going to be October 2 & 3. More details to come!
