Noobie & Wylie's Waste Warriors

Noobie & Wylie's Waste Warriors Founded in 2024, Noobie & Wylie’s Waste Warriors started as a small group of volunteers inspired by our two husky mascots, Noobie and Wylie.

Our journey began when we joined the Adopt A Highway program, focusing on a section outside Springfield, Ohio.

🌎♻️ Waste Warriors Update! ♻️🌎

We’ve been busy the past couple of days! 💪 Noobie & Wylie stopped by a local park and then headed downtown for a city sweep — over 10 full 5-gallon buckets of trash picked up! 🪣✨

Wylie’s been extra happy to get more miles in 🐾 while helping clean up our community. Do you think he should start tracking and maybe even go for a world record? 👀🔥

Remember: it only takes one person to make a difference. 💚 Next time you head out for a walk, grab a bag and pick up a little trash — together we can keep the world cleaner and brighter! 🌱

🚶‍♂️🐕 Want to join Wylie on a trash walk? Message us for details!

We’ll be back out again right after the dentist today 🦷➡️🌳.

🌎✨ Positive change doesn’t always start with big speeches or broken promises—it starts with us. One person picking up a piece of trash ➡️ another person joining in… and before you know it, that’s a movement. 💪

Today me & Wylie filled up 5 buckets 🪣🪣🪣🪣🪣 of trash around the neighborhood. It felt so good to get back out there! 🙌 Noob couldn’t make it with us this time, and we can’t always stay out as long as we’d like, but even small steps add up when you keep showing up. 💚

Let’s keep proving that while society may feel broken at times, people still have the power to fix it. 💥

♻️ Who’s down to grab a bag and join in?

Sorry I haven’t been doing updates. Noobie’a health took a bad turn and has been working on his recovery. Today he walked 1 mile in 40 minutes! His fastest time since being diagnosed with vestibular disease. We have still done a few small cleanups but nothing big. We will get back to it as soon as we can!

We found an EPA ball in our walk today. A subtle reminder that we’ve got the whole world in our hands. 😅🌎🙌

Oh I love seeing trash when I’m walking the dogs through the woods, on the trails with trash cans every 1/4 mile. *sarcasm*

Picked it up and carried it—along with two huskies who want to chase every squirrel and bird in the park—to the trash can where it belongs.

If I can do that, there’s zero excuse for you to leave your trash behind.

If you’re gonna enjoy the parks, don’t treat them like 💩. Do the right thing so the rest of us don’t have to clean up after you.

Some days it just feels pointless.

To clean up an area and see it trashed again just a day or two later…
To walk out of the store and see garbage scattered around cars while a trash can sits just 10 feet away…

It gets exhausting cleaning up after people who simply don’t care.
It makes me wonder—why do I even bother?
Maybe it’s time to hang up the litter picker and donate the gear.

We need real consequences for littering.
If you don’t take pride in where you live, do you even deserve to live here? Harsh or not, we have to stop the cause if we ever want to fix the problem.

No cleanups due to the rain yesterday! We did get 2.5 miles in for the Red Cross Fundraiser though! Noobie went for 2x1 mile laps and we trudged through 16” high flood waters on the trail!

A reminder that we will be at the XVW Xtreme Clean on April 19th @ 1pm - you can check the event for details or head over to their page to RSVP!

We’ll have a limited supply of stickers so be one of the first ones to spot Wylie and come say Hi!

Hopefully we can get some more cleanups in as things dry out and everything isn’t so heavy to walk around with!

We will be out at Cox Arboretum on April 26th at 10:00 AM to pick up our kit and hit the trails to clean what we can! After Noobie is wore out we will be bringing him home to take a nap and then me and Wylie will be back out at Triangle Park to get some more trash picked up!

We are proud to announce the launch of our brand new national ‘Prickly Pickers’ campaign! We’ve teamed up with Hedgehog Hospitals all over the UK and now have 200 hedgehogs specially trained to collect litter by rolling over it and piercing it with their spines. We’ve even developed a ‘Hog Bin’ drop off station that automatically dispenses a treat every time the hedgehog drops off some litter!

If you’re interested in adopting one of these special hedgehogs then get in touch! 🚯🦔🦔🦔🗑️
