Argrow's House of Healing and Hope is named after my grandmother, Rev. She is the reason I believe in God. Grandma Argrow was married at the age of 14, and lived through violence throughout her marriage. However, she embraced such courage and love throughout her life. Free services are offered daily at Argrow's House for women in the community healing from violence and abuse. Services range from g

rief support counseling, yoga, spiritual direction, horticultural therapy, art therapy, and more. We wanted to empower women mind, body, spirit, as well as financially. So we started a bath and body business where women healing from abuse can create beautiful all natural bath and body products that provide a living wage for themselves in a safe space that celebrates who they are. TRANSFORMING LIVES
Dena found a safe path out of violence and abuse at Argrow’s House. Working in our Café, she earned a steady salary and gained expertise that enabled her to move her life forward. In fact, Dena was so good at her job, she became the manager and a trusted Argrow’s House leader.

At Argrow’s House, it’s all about lending a hand up. Not a handout. Providing a caring community for women like Dena that offers the holistic support they need to become the strong, capable, self-confident women they were meant to be.

September 17, 2026, we’re proud to celebrate Dena and the other women graduating from Argrow’s House at our 9th Annual Shimmering Hope Gala.

Michelle recently taught a wonderful group of women from the Caribbean how to make their own essential oils. We loved seeing learning, creativity, and connection come together.

Experiences like this create opportunities to learn new skills, build confidence, and discover what’s possible.

INSPIRING HOPE
Lona, mother of four and a survivor of abuse, found hope at Argrow’s House. Through our workforce development, Lona gained employment, valuable job skills, and self-confidence working in our Café and Bath & Body. Lona now has a full-time job outside of Argrow’s House as a Job Coach at Goodwill.

Her story, like many other of our graduates, is about more than finding a job. Along the way, Lona discovered just how capable and resilient she is, and built a bigger support system for herself and her children.
