Today marks the 101st anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment allowing women the right to vote.

True perspective:
1920 - white women of status
1924 - Native Americans
1943 - Chinese immigrants
1965 - remaining non white Americans

We have come along ways and have a long way to go!

🍞🌹Happy 100th Bread and Roses Day! 🌹🍞

Thank you to the women who marched and the men who support equality!

Never forget, never let the flame go out and never and I mean never ever stop marching!

May we KNOW them!
May we BE them!
May we RAISE them!

This allowed the women in my family to vote. This was a major step for all women. To have women’s equality we need racial equality!

Ida B. Wells was in Washington, D.C., in the spring of 1913 with thousands of other women for a parade spearheaded by one of the country’s leading suffragists, Alice Paul. Wells was representing the Alpha Suffrage Club, the first Black suffrage club in Chicago that she founded two months before. A...

Spread the Word!

This week on , we’re centering the voices and stories that can’t afford to be left unaccounted for in Congress’ next COVID-19 stimulus package.

MONDAY, April 27th at 4pm ET: Empowering Girls’ Creative Online Community with Anasa Troutman, founder of Shelectricity & Culture Shift Creative! Learn more about how the pandemic is acutely affecting young girls and how we continue working to build their creative communities.

TUESDAY, April 28th at 1pm ET: Closing the Homework Gap and Digital Divide with FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel. WEDNESDAY, April 29th at 1pm ET: Paid Sick and Paid Leave for All with Vicki Shabo, Senior Fellow at New America. As Congress moves towards a fourth relief bill, it’s imperative — to women at work, women at home, and especially women of color and all people in lower wage jobs — that the U.S. guarantee access to paid sick days and paid family and medical leave!.

THURSDAY, April 30th at 1pm ET: Immigration and COVID-19 with Sayu Bhojwani, President and Founder of New American Leaders. Join us to learn more about how this crisis is impacting immigrant communities and the emerging immigrant leaders fighting for inclusive democracy.

The Women of Hersong are wishing you all peace during this world pandemic!

We are all in this together. Every human, every one of us. Look beyond the differences and remember we are one. One human race! Together we can help each other and survive what is happening and what is ahead of us.

We need to protect the generations before us, with us, behind us and beyond! Find the Harmony among all the beings of the earth.

Be kind, be well, be alert, be prepared, do your part!

This is a song that we have sung for years. We really do need our grandmothers! 💜 There was healing magic in their aprons.

Sending light and healing energy into the world! 🌎

It is International Women's Day!

March 8th is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

The first celebration was February 28, 1908. The International Women's Day date was moved to March 8 in 1913.

The day aimed to help nations worldwide eliminate discrimination against women. It also focused on helping women gain full and equal participation in global development. International Men's Day is also celebrated on November 19 each year.

Wishing you a day filled. With goodness and warmth, wishing you happiness... Today and forever. No matter from which angle I look at you, you appear to be an angel and Women's Day is the perfect to say: I am so lucky to have you in my life.
