Every year on August 1st, Scouts and Scouters around the globe celebrate World Scout Scarf Day. This day was chosen in honor of the first ever Scout camp held at Brownsea Island in 1907, often referred to as the birthplace of Scouting.

Scouts and Scouters of all ages around the world wear their neckerchiefs on this day to show that they are a part of something larger: The World Scouting movement. Help us celebrate today by posting a picture of your favorite neckerchief, and telling us what it means to you!

That's a wrap, Scouts!🥳🙂🙌
The Illowa Scout Shop has been very busy this week assisting our Illowa Council, Scouting America Jamboree bound Scouts update their uniforms to Be Prepared for National Scout Jamboree. Over thirty uniforms from brand new performance uniforms to 40 year old vintage shirts were updated for this event. From the Disco Dancing Dino Ducks, all the way to the Underwater Firefighters (Stop, Drop, and Sink!), we prepared many of our local Scouts for a destination like no other in the world.

National Scout Jamboree.

Scouts will wear these uniforms as they meet new people from across the nation and make lifelong friends. As they proudly raise and lower our nation's flag. As they continue to make a positive impact on their communities, all while representing Illowa Council's very own strong Scouting community! National Scout Jamboree will create irreplaceable memories that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Good Luck Illowa Council Scouts! We wish you excellent weather and health while you safely venture to and from the Summit. ⛺️🏕️😁
