ATTENTION! 🎉 Volunteer spotlight and opportunities ahead! 🔦 Despite the tough heat this week, our team kept pushing forward on the build sites and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible support around us. A huge thank‑you to Goodyear for spending Wednesday with us and lending such strong hands to the work. We’re also grateful for our dedicated regular volunteers and our amazing family partners. It’s because of groups like Goodyear, and the faithful volunteers who show up week after week, that we’re able to continue providing safe, affordable homes for families in our community. To everyone who volunteered this week: thank you. Habitat simply wouldn’t exist without you.

For many older adults, aging in place means continuing to live safely and comfortably in the home they know and love. Through our Aging in Place program, we help make that possible with safety-focused home modifications that support independence and improve quality of life.

Some of these improvements include:
🔹 Wheelchair ramps for safer access.
🔹 Grab bars for added stability.
🔹 Tub cutouts to help reduce the risk of falls.

These simple modifications can make a meaningful difference, allowing seniors to remain in their homes and stay connected to the community they call home.

Over the past few days, they’ve completed a large portion of the rear deck, installed foundation drainage, and backfilled around the rear steps—huge milestones worth celebrating! As summer approaches, things may slow down a bit, but we’re not stopping anytime soon.
