What kind of Leader are you?

Matthew 20:26-27

The old Testament uses several Hebrew terms that we translate as "servent", esch one presenting a slight different picture of the heart of a servant:
Ebed - A love-slave or servant. This term describes someone who is at the complete disposal of another (Deuteronomy 15:12-18). Likewise, Leaders must be at the disposalof the Lordand their peole.
Abad - One who gives up personal rights in order to work in the fields or tabernacle (numbers 18:7,23). In a similar way, leaders must scrifice their rights and stay surrendered to the cause.
Saykyir - A hired servant who works for pay, by day or by year (Leviticus 25:39-42). A Leader must avoid the perspective of a "paid professional" and flee when times get hard.
Sharath - Someone who will perform menial task to accomplish an overal poal (Exodus 28:35-42). Leaders must serve the mission.

Leaders must never forget that God calls them to serve. If our Lord could wash His disciples' feet as a sharnth, then how could we frown at becoming as ebed?

One critical question is: Are we making things better for those who follow us? When we add value to people, we lift them, help them advance, make them a part of something bigger than themselves, and assist them in becoming who they were made to be.

Growth is an adventure.

It begins with a positive mindset followed by an active, continuous pursuit of improvement. While we do that, we are certain to be met with detours and interruptions. Progress is made on that path by making the best of those moments and turning that adversity into advantages.
