🌻 Riverview Rotarians Get Their Hands Dirty for a Great Cause! 🌻

Service Above Self sometimes means rolling up your sleeves and pulling weeds.

Recently, members of the Danville Riverview Rotary Club participated in the ongoing maintenance of our Pollinator Garden located on Spring Street across from Riverfront Park. Developed through a partnership with Bee City Danville, the Danville Garden Club, and Danville Public Works, this special garden is filled with native and adapted plants designed to attract and support bees, butterflies, birds, and other pollinators.

As we worked alongside community partners, our members learned firsthand how these gardens are maintained and why pollinator habitats are so important to the health of our environment. Pollinators play a vital role in supporting plant life and healthy ecosystems, and projects like this help ensure they have safe places to thrive.

We're excited to share these early photos of the garden's progress and look forward to watching it continue to grow and flourish. Visitors will soon have even more to enjoy, as a mural just west of the garden is expected to further enhance this beautiful corner of our community.

Membership Month continued strong at Danville Riverview Rotary on August 20 with a little friendly competition!

Rotary member James Turner hosted an exciting game of Rotary Family Feud, featuring a showdown between our Rookies (new members) and Veterans (our seasoned Rotary professionals).

Contestants tested their Rotary knowledge with fun and interesting trivia questions, shared plenty of laughs, and showcased the fellowship that makes our club so special. While both teams put forth a great effort, the Veterans emerged victorious, claiming bragging rights for another year!

Membership Month has been a wonderful opportunity to strengthen connections, learn more about one another, and celebrate the people who make Danville Riverview Rotary a thriving and welcoming club. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this meeting such a success, and a special thank you to James Turner for organizing and hosting this entertaining event.

What a day in Danville! Our Second Annual Jeep Jam on Saturday, August 15 brought together an incredible lineup of Jeeps, passionate owners, families, and friends — all united by community spirit and a love for adventure.

From classic builds to eye‑catching custom rigs, every Jeep told a story. The creativity, pride, and enthusiasm from our participants made this year’s event truly special. Thank you to everyone who registered, rolled in, cheered, volunteered, and helped create a day full of fun and fellowship.

Membership Month gave us the perfect opportunity to get to know our fellow Rotarians a little better!

Over our last two meetings, we enjoyed a series of "Getting to Know You" sessions. First, we heard from our newest members and learned fun facts about their lives, backgrounds, and interests. Then, some of our seasoned members took the spotlight and shared a few surprises of their own. Who knew we had a talented juggler in our midst?! 🤹

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and helped make these meetings so engaging and enjoyable. Special thanks to our Membership Committee for organizing these sessions and reminding us that the friendships and connections we build are at the heart of Rotary.
