🌱 Riverview Rotary Highlights: Learning About the Future of Agriculture 🌱

At last week’s Danville Riverview Rotary Club meeting, we had the pleasure of welcoming guest speakers from AeroFarms, who shared insights into their innovative approach to agriculture and sustainability.

We were honored to hear from Justin Zabilansky, Senior Director of Engineering & Maintenance, along with Carter Hudgins, Maintenance Administrator. They gave our members a fascinating look at how AeroFarms is transforming food production through advanced technology and environmentally responsible practices.

Thank you to our speakers for an informative and inspiring presentation, and for helping our club better understand the impact of innovation right here in our region!

📄🔒 Join Us for a Free Paper Shredding Event!

Danville Riverview Rotary is hosting a Paper Shredding Event on Saturday, June 13, from 9 a.m. to noon at Woodall Nissan, located at 132 Union Street Bridge.

Bring your old tax forms, outdated documents, financial records, or anything you need securely destroyed. This is a safe, confidential way to clear out clutter and protect your personal information.

There is no charge for shredding, but donations are appreciated and will support our community service projects.

We look forward to seeing you there and helping you shred with confidence!

At our May 21 meeting, Danville Riverview Rotary was pleased to hear from Phil Hall, Riverview Rotary member, and Mark Adelman, Director of the Danville Regional Airport. Together, they shared an exciting update on the airport’s ongoing construction projects, key partnerships, and long‑term vision for growth.

Their presentation highlighted how the airport continues to strengthen regional connectivity and support economic development across our community.

On May 14, our club had the joy of hearing from fellow Danville Riverview Rotary member Betsy Bacon, who shared highlights from her recent service trip to Chile with the Wheelchair Project.

Betsy’s presentation offered a powerful look at how a single act of mobility can transform a life. Through this international partnership, she helped deliver wheelchairs to individuals who would otherwise go without, bringing independence, dignity, and hope to families across the region.

We’re grateful for Betsy’s heart for service and for representing our club so beautifully on the global stage. Her story is a reminder that Rotary’s impact reaches far beyond our local community.
