Location, location, location! 🏖 Atleast that's what a few of our CAC staff and team members are saying this week! Thanks to ARPA funding; several of the CACMC team members are settled in to a full week of learning, networking and hopefully some sunshine at the Seaside Symposium in Myrtle Beach.

As Child Abuse Prevention Month comes to a close, we’re reflecting with full hearts. 💙

It may sound strange to say we’re grateful during a month our basement flooded and we lost so much- but once again, our community showed up in ways we’ll never forget.

Because of YOU:
• Our BBB fundraiser was a success
• Community members stepped up to help with basement recovery
• We were in local schools teaching child abuse prevention
• The LGMC Class of ’26 hosted multiple Culver’s fundraisers
• We saw so many of you show up and support
• Donations began coming in to help replace what was lost

And through it all, our work never paused-
Children were interviewed, families were supported, and medical and therapy services continued.

What. A. Month.

McHenry County- you remind us why this work matters. Thank you for standing with us. 💙

THANK YOU to our amazing community. We couldn’t do what we do without your support.

And, a special thank you to the Firefighters from Cary Fire Protection District and Woodstock Fire/Rescue District - who donated their time... and muscles, to help us.

We are so grateful for all of you. 💙

Still looking for ways to help? We are in dire need of large, clear plastic tubs to put everything in, in the basement. We are taking no chances- and want to ensure all things are properly preserved.

The irony of flood clean-up: it rains on restoration day! ☔️
Our already flooded items are now sitting in water again, just waiting for the dumpster to arrive.

CASA of McHenry County to the rescue! After hearing about our flooded basement, CASA went through their storage and has brought us numerous bags of stuffed animals, clothing and toys. Thank you for being a part of our village.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Bags, Bourbon & Bingo, we are so grateful for your support! 💙

Because of you, we came incredibly close to reaching our goal. With a little more help, we know we can get there.

As shared at the event, our center experienced unexpected flooding last week, and many of the essential items we provide to children—clothing, hygiene products, backpacks, and comfort items—were lost.

If you’re able to give:
• $175 = one shelving unit
• $50 = two storage totes
• Any amount helps us restock critical items for children in need

Every dollar makes a difference and helps us be there for the next child who walks through our doors.
