Veterans Path to Hope

Veterans Path to Hope Veterans Path to Hope is a 501(c)3 organization that transforms lives through services to veterans.

Helping veterans find stability, purpose, hope and a path forward one step at a time. Veterans Path to Hope operates New Horizons, a 20-bed transitional living shelter in Hebron, IL for homeless veterans who benefit from a more intensive period of support to reintegrate back to their own housing situation. Veterans in the program can access a variety of supports such as employment assistance, reco

very support, transportation to work, reconnecting with family, and daily living skills as needed. In Crystal Lake, veterans and families are welcomed to call or stop in at the drop-in resource center, staffed by veteran peer support specialists. The peer support group is there to assist veterans in need, whether the need is for support, information, referrals, or the relief of having coffee with someone who speaks the same language. The drop-in center includes a food pantry for veterans, monthly food truck, and counseling support. The VA funds a program (SSVF) for low income veterans who are homeless or at imminent risk of becoming homeless, providing resources to be quickly rehoused and supported. The agency also offers veteran-specific employment assistance, helping with resume translation, getting prepared for employment, and finding/keeping employment.

A huge THANK YOU to the Hampshire/Burlington Post #680 American Legion and Womens Auxiliary for their generous donation matching 25 dinners donated by patrons of Crandall's Restaurant!

We would also like to recognize and thank Crandall's for creating a unique way for the community to support veterans. When dining at Crandall's, guests can simply ask their server to add a meal donation to their bill. Those donated meals help provide dinners for veterans residing at New Horizons Transitional Living Program next door, a program of Veterans Path to Hope.

The Hampshire Auxiliary's decision to match 25 of these donated meals doubles the impact and helps ensure veterans working to rebuild their lives have access to nutritious meals and the support they deserve.

Thank you to Crandall's, the Hampshire Auxiliary, and every patron who has participated in this program. Your generosity is making a real difference in the lives of local veterans.

WOW! What an incredible year for the Jeeps4vets Remember the 22 a day in May Jeep Run!

Thanks to the amazing support of our participants, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and community, we raised just over $12,000 and officially reached our goal!

This marks our best year yet. In previous years, our fundraising goal was $10,000, but this year we raised the bar and set an even bigger goal. We weren't sure what to expect, but everyone involved showed up in a huge way and helped us make it happen.

To everyone who registered, donated, sponsored, volunteered, shared our posts, or simply helped spread the wordโ€”THANK YOU. This success belongs to all of you. We want to give a huge special thank you to Chris Acker and the Jeeps4Vets crew for bringing the community together in such a huge way to support our local veterans! We are grateful for every person who contributes to our work and helps us make a difference in the lives of veterans.

Stay tuned as we begin putting these funds to work to improve and expand our VCAT Program. We can't wait to share what's ahead and show you the impact your support is making.

And while we're celebrating this year's success, don't forget to mark your calendars for our Veterans Day Jeep Run coming up this November 8th, 2026! It's never too early to start planning for another great event.

Thank you all for making this our biggest and most successful Remember the 22 a day in May Jeep Run yet!

And before anyone asksโ€ฆ no, the crayons are not for the Marines. We already checked.

Thank you again for your support and for helping us make our events even more family friendly!
