Today, Crown Point Community Foundation humbly accepted the Community Impact Award from Hope Alliance of NWI.

Our VP of Philanthropy, Buffy D. Adams thanked those in attendance, at the Survival to Stability event, for the honor to be recognized on a day that is about so much more than an award. “Today is about remembrance. It’s about support. And it’s about hope.”

Thank you, Hope Alliance for your life-changing, life-saving mission. And thank you, NWI, for proving that hope is still our greatest resource.

❤️ Coming Together for Lake County Disaster Relief Funding

The severe storms that swept through Lake County on August 11th left many of our neighbors facing unexpected and difficult circumstances.

Families, businesses, and communities throughout the area are dealing with storm damage, power outages, cleanup needs, and the challenge of getting back on their feet.

At the Crown Point Community Foundation, our hearts are with everyone impacted by these storms. We know that recovery will take time, resources, and neighbors coming together to care for one another.

In response to the storms, the Crown Point Community Foundation and Legacy Foundation have joined forces to help provide and coordinate charitable support for communities throughout Lake County.

For those who would like to support relief efforts specifically benefiting South Lake County residents, donations can be made to the Crown Point Community Foundation’s Crown Point Aid & Relief Fund. These gifts will help address local needs and support recovery efforts for our neighbors and communities.

We are incredibly grateful to the Dean and Barbara White Family Foundation for stepping forward with generous support to help jump-start relief efforts in our community. We invite others to join them in helping our South Lake County neighbors recover.

Every gift, no matter the size, is an opportunity to remind a neighbor that they are not facing this difficult time alone.

We are also deeply grateful to the first responders, nonprofit partners, volunteers, local leaders, businesses, and countless neighbors who are already lending a hand. Your compassion and generosity represent the very best of our community.

Together, we can help our neighbors recover, rebuild, and move forward. Please consider making a gift to the Crown Point Aid & Relief Fund today.

Women’s Giving Circle Grant Application Deadline Extended

We know that the severe storms last week have created significant challenges across our community. Many individuals and organizations are still without power, navigating storm-related impacts, or actively supporting recovery and relief efforts.

We recognize that many organizations have understandably had to shift their focus over the past week to respond to immediate needs and circumstances beyond their control.

With that in mind, we are extending the application deadline to Friday, August 28th to provide additional flexibility and ensure organizations have a fair opportunity to apply.
