Cristians Dream, 1871 forest Lane, Crown Point, IN (2026)

“Cristian’s Dream” is dedicated to providing funding for athletes who need financial support. As funds are available, we will provide financial support to any child or team involved in youth sports who otherwise, without such support, would be unable to participate. Included, but not limited to, cost of participation, equipment, tournaments, apparel, and anything else needed to participate as determined by the Board to be reasonable. We will provide scholarship funds in honor of our angel in heaven, Cristian Villarreal.

Some coaches teach you how to win. Others teach you how to lead, how to fight through adversity, how to believe in yourself, and how to carry yourself long after the final whistle.

Mike Ditka was one of those coaches.

His impact reached far beyond the football field. From his playing days to his time leading the Chicago Bears, he became a symbol of toughness, passion, accountability, and the never-back-down attitude that Chicago has always embraced.

But the impact of a great coach isn't measured only in championships, victories, or records. It's measured in the players they inspire, the lives they influence, the memories they leave behind, and the generations who continue to look up to them.

Coach Ditka represented an era, an identity, and a spirit that extended beyond Chicago and into the heart of sports itself. He reminded us that leadership means demanding the best from others while giving everything you have yourself.

We thank you, Coach, for the memories, the lessons, the passion, and the lasting mark you left on the game and everyone who loved it.

Rest in peace, Mike Ditka. Thank you for everything you gave to football, to Chicago, and to sports.

The games will go on, the seasons will change, and new legends will emerge. But some coaches become bigger than the game itself.

You'll always be more than a coach. You'll always be a part of Chicago.

Rest easy, Da Coach. Chicago will never forget you.

Cristian's Dream in Indiana is the 501(c)(3) based in Crown Point — 1871 Forest Ln, Crown Point, IN 46307
EIN is 86-1646454. It's listed as:
Cristians Dream - 501C3 Nonprofit - Crown Point, IN - 861646454
What's it worth?
It's a very small, grassroots nonprofit — not a large foundation.
Public IRS data shows:
• Asset Amount $0
• Income Amount $0
• Form 990 Revenue Amount $0
And filing status: Form 990 - Not required to file (income less than $25,000)
That means in the last filing period it was under $25k in annual revenue, which is why there's no detailed 990 on GuideStar/ProPublica. On its own site it talks about $200 direct support to help a young athlete stay in the game and 25+ athletes supported so far — it's operating on small donations, Givebutter campaigns, and local events like the Home Run Derby.
So in terms of valuation — it has no reported assets. Its "worth" is just whatever is in its donation account year to year.
What's their goal?
Their official description:
“Cristian’s Dream” is dedicated to providing funding for athletes who need financial support. As funds are available, we will provide financial support to any child or team involved in youth sports who otherwise, without such support, would be unable to participate. Included, but not limited to, cost of participation, equipment, tournaments, apparel, and anything else needed to participate... We will provide scholarship funds in honor of our angel in heaven, Cristian Villarreal.
In their own words on the site:
• Cristian’s Dream helps families cover the real cost of youth sports — equipment, fees, and opportunity.
• Cristian’s Dream exists to help remove financial barriers that keep kids from experiencing the life-changing impact of sports.
Current campaign is branded "No Kids left behind 2026 | Youth Sports Access in Northwest Indiana" — focused on Northwest Indiana families.
What they actually do:
• Equipment Support — gear and essentials
• Registration Assistance — helping with league/club fees
• Opportunity Access — creating opportunities for kids to experience community, discipline, and growth that sports provide
The nonprofit is listed in care of Gabriel Villarreal — so it's run out of your area.
We need help so we can continue to help the economy is terrible and there’s more kids and families that need help
More then ever with love

❤️⚾ A HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO THE CITY OF HOBART ⚾❤️

On behalf of everyone at Hobart Little League, we want to extend our deepest and most sincere thank you to the Mayor and the City of Hobart for their incredibly generous $550,000 donation to our league.

This is so much more than a donation. It is an investment in our children, our families, and our community.

Thanks to this incredible support, we will be able to replace our lights and make important updates and improvements to our facility, helping us get everything ready for next spring’s season. These improvements will give our players a better place to play, grow, make friends, and create memories that they will carry with them for years to come.

Little League is about so much more than baseball. It’s about watching a child step onto the field for the first time, learning to work as a team.

To the Mayor, the City Council, and everyone who helped make this possible — THANK YOU. Your generosity will make a lasting difference, and we are incredibly excited for what the future holds.

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the ballpark next spring and show our community what this investment has helped make possible!

From all of us at Hobart Little League — thank you for investing in our kids, our fields, and our future. ❤️
