Our mission is to provide a safe place for peer-to-peer grief support for children, teens and adults in the North West Indiana area.

Our Vision
At Golden Hope our vision is to bring awareness to the community on the impact of grief in children, teens and families. We strive to equip these individuals with the tools and resources they need to acknowledge, adapt and heal after loss in a healthy way. We do this by providing a safe space for children, teens and families to find peer-to-peer support while normalizing the grief proc

ess so that individuals may continue to find strength, hope and healing. Our Values
We recognize that while loss is a universal experience, the grief process is unique to each individual. We believe that all individuals should have age appropriate support and resources they need to navigate their grief journey. We respect the intentional hard work that each individual and family dedicates themselves to in their healing process.

Hope in Motion Family Fest is a special day created for grieving children and families to come together, feel supported, and be reminded that they are not alone.

Through activities, connection, and community, families are given a space to laugh, remember, heal, and find hope alongside others walking a similar journey.

We truly believe we were created for community, and being surrounded by people who care can have a profound impact on healing.

Even though our program nights are on a break for the summer, we wanted to share something our tween and teen groups worked hard on during the final weeks of meetings. Together, they spent time reflecting, sharing, and brainstorming about what they wish their peers and the adults in their lives understood about teen grief — and what living with grief truly feels like from their perspective.
These posters were completely designed and created by the teens themselves and come directly from their own thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Each teen came up with five ideas of their own, and together they chose the top five ideas they felt best represented their group.

Their honesty, vulnerability, creativity, and courage continue to inspire us. We are so proud of them for sharing pieces of their stories and helping others better understand what grieving youth may be carrying every day. ✨

💜 Honoring Loved Ones Through Hope in Motion 💜

One of the most meaningful parts of Hope in Motion Family Fest is the opportunity for families to honor the memory of their loved one in a lasting and impactful way.

Each registered team has the opportunity to invite family and friends to give in honor of their loved one, helping turn remembrance into hope and healing for other grieving families in our community. Every donation made through your team helps support Golden Hope Ministries and allows us to continue providing grief support, programs, and resources to children and families at no cost when they need it most.

What makes this so special is that your loved one’s memory becomes part of something bigger — bringing comfort, connection, and hope to others walking through grief.

Even if you are unable to attend the event in person, you can still register a team, share your loved one’s story, and participate in fundraising efforts from wherever you are. Creating a team is a meaningful way to honor someone special while helping support grieving families through Golden Hope Ministries.

As a fun and meaningful encouragement, the team that raises the most support will receive a fun summer-themed family prize as a celebration of love, remembrance, and community impact. (Valued at $200!)

💜 Why Hope in Motion Matters 💜

Hope in Motion Family Fest is more than just an event — it is a night created to bring hope, healing, remembrance, and connection to grieving children and families in our community.

At Golden Hope Ministries, we believe no family should have to walk through grief alone. Hope in Motion was created as a meaningful and family-friendly space where families can honor loved ones, make memories together, and connect with others who truly understand the journey of loss.

This event is also an opportunity for new families to learn more about Golden Hope Ministries in a relaxed and welcoming environment while experiencing the support of a compassionate community.

Most importantly, we gather with the everlasting hope we have in Jesus — a hope that remains even in the midst of grief and reminds us that love, faith, and healing continue beyond loss.

💜Hope in Motion Family Fest💜

Join us on the evening of June 24 for Golden Hope's Hope in Motion Family Fest- a special evening created for families to gather, connect, and remember loved ones together. This event welcomes anyone in our community who is grieving—especially those who may not attend regular groups—offering a space filled with understanding, support, and hope.

Enjoy a fun, family-friendly atmosphere with activities like bounce houses, games, face painting, cotton candy, popcorn, and more—plus dinner and all treats provided! The evening will also include meaningful experiences like a remembrance walk, a grief graffiti wall, and a memory garden activity.

This event also serves as a fundraiser for Golden Hope, helping us continue to provide free support to grieving children and families during life’s most difficult seasons. You can participate by registering a team in honor of your loved one, inviting others to donate, and walking together during the remembrance ceremony.

There is no cost to attend—just come as you are, bring your people, and be part of a night of connection, remembrance, and community!

Our Celebration Night was such a special evening together 💛

It gave us a chance to honor all the hard work grief has asked of us this past year, while also remembering the love and memories that will always live on in our hearts.

Families spent time creating beautiful memory lanterns and sharing a few more moments with Caleb the Comfort Dog—simple, meaningful reminders that we’re not alone on this journey.

This year has been filled with so much love, support, and hope, even as we’ve walked through some of the hardest valleys. We are so grateful for this community.

As we take a break from our regular groups for the summer, we’re looking forward to gathering again at our very first Hope in Motion Family Fest on June 24. More details coming soon!💛

It’s hard to believe we’ve reached our final program week of the year. Groups will meet together this Thursday for our Celebration Night ✨

Celebration Night is a meaningful time to gather with our families and facilitators, honoring the courage, vulnerability, and growth this year of grief has called for. It’s also an opportunity to remember each family’s special person and celebrate the love that forever lives in their hearts.
