Its time to get the thunder rolling on the prairie!

Our hosts are putting on a fireworks show for their local VFW and are asking for product or cash donations to help make this show one to remember. Our hosts do a lot for us in addition to just allowing us access to this amazing shoot site, so please try and donate something to them if you can. Remember that RKM and our other vendors give us amazing pricing and deliver to the shoot as well if you don’t have anything on hand ;)

Open shooting! a Heartland must have. We have room for 5” shells and rockets up to 1 LBS (3/4” I.D) at this shoot site. We will have a dedicated E-fire time for shows/testing at this shoot with an extended set up time outside of open shooting hours.

General meeting. We will go over general shoot rules and discuss other club matters.

50/50 raffle $5 a ticket and the winner wins half whole pot the rest goes to the club.

1.4g fireworks raffle. $1 a ticket for a chance to win some sweet canister shells. There will be multiple drawings.

Cake for cakes raffle. Add (2) 200g cakes or (1) 500g cake to the pile to get a chance to win the whole pile!

Food and drinks will be provided for by our generous hosts. Thank you guys!

RKM Fireworks will be delivering orders to the shoot. Orders must be placed by May 18th. Contact RKM at [email protected] to set up your account for member pricing if you have not done so. Place orders at Rkmfireworks.net.

Pyro Saint and Mysterious Pyro will also be on site vending 1.4g goodies. Only pre approved members are aloud to vend at our shoots.

Its time to shake off the ice and light a fuse. Join us at the Wheeler flying field for Heartland Pyros first shoot of the year!

Annual meeting "vending"

I know a few people, myself included, were planning on doing some deals and sales at our annual meeting. Due to some concerns raised, we are asking that people who are planning on delivering items do so at an alternative location off of the bull dog park premises.

Welcome back to another new year with the HPAA! We hope you had a fun and safe holiday season.

2026 Membership dues are now live on our website. We strongly encourage everyone to join or renew online in advance of our annual meeting to free up time and to make things go faster. Online applications really help reduce the paperwork and money that the board has to handle.

The web page for our Annual Meeting is live, and our website is ready for the new year…mostly. The pages for the club shoots will be updated after we set the dates for the shoots at the Annual Meeting.

2026 Annual Meeting February 7th Noon CST Crown Point, IN 46307

Our associations goal is to be the best that it can be for its members, and your input is indispensable in achieving that goal. Please attend this important annual meeting to help guide the club in the right direction for the new year.

During this meeting we will discuss the data surrounding last years season, general club business, schedule the shoots for the new year, formalize rules and policies, and vote on the Board of Directors positions that are up for renewal. We got a lot to cover and we would love to have your participation.

The VP, 3rd VP, Treasurer, and Financial Secretary positions are all up for election this year.

Christmas party and shoot is canceled.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately the shoot this weekend December 6th 2025 will have to be canceled.

Due to the recent heavy snowfall, the shoot site is not in good enough condition to host a club shoot. There are currently no plans to reschedule this shoot.

I'm sorry for this outcome. Unfortunately weather has a huge impact on our club and it's operations that is far beyond our control.

Christmas in the Heartland 2025

December 6TH 1 PM CST - 8 PM CST

Its beginning to look a lot like…fireworks? Yes fireworks! Join us for the HPAA Christmas party where we light up the sky like a properly decorated evergreen tree you keep in your living room for the holidays! There will be fireworks, food, and festivities sure to delight even the scrooges and grinches amongst us.

Cake for cakes raffle. Bring a 500g cake or (2) 200g cakes and add them to the pile. The winner takes the whole lot home!

50/50 raffle. $5 a ticket and the pool gets split between the winner and the club. Help the club and feed your addiction to games of chance!

Wisely Pyrotechnics compound cake raffle. $5 a ticket and the winner will win a fancy pants compound cake! A stash must have.

Open shooting! It cant be an HPAA shoot with out some good old open shooting! We have room for shells up to 5” and 1 LBS (3/4” I.D) rockets.

RKM fireworks and Wisely Pyrotechnics will both be delivering preorders to the shoot. Help support those who support the club and grow those New Years stashes!

Christmas shoot.

We will have an update about our clubs next shoot coming here soon.

We are planning on having it December 6th in Rolling Prairie. We are working on finalizing the details, pulling permits, contacting the landowner etc. An official newsletter and post will be released once it is finalized...and the website will be updated.

It should be out sometime at the beginning of next week.

Thank you to everyone who made the return of the Midwest Fireworks Festival a success! After 7 years it is simply amazing to see this event return to the club.

We hope to see everyone back next year for an even bigger and better festival!
