The Putnam County Junior Fair Board is designed to aid the Putnam County Fair while promoting knowledge about agriculture and volunteerism to the young adults of the community. We believe that this non profit organization will benefit the young adults of Putnam County for generations down the line. It gives them a way to be involved with the fair while doing volunteer work.

Kayla Mick has been a wonderful Fairest of the Fair!

As we crown a new queen today, I want to say my final 2023 Farewell to the bright light of a soul that is Kayla Mick, our 2023 Fairest of the Fair.

Kayla, you have inspired me from the first moment you walked in to interview in 2021.

Winning can tell you a lot about someone, but losing can tell you even more. For two years I watched you walk away without a crown, but with the same sweet demeanor and desire to improve which was inspiring. Then I got to watch you win with such appreciation and humbleness that again I was inspired yet again.

There cannot exist a person with better character than Kayla Mick. Her work ethic is second to none and I’ve never seen her do a single thing less than 100%. She is the definition of prepared, and does it all with the best manners one can have. I’m a better person for having had time with her this year.

We were lucky to have you Kayla, and I cherish you always. ❤️
