Losing someone you love to su***de can bring overwhelming grief, along with feelings of confusion, guilt, anger, loneliness, and unanswered questions. The burden of stigma often leaves survivors feeling isolated, but you do not have to walk this journey alone.

Many survivors say that being with others who have experienced a similar loss is one of the most healing parts of their grief journey. In a safe and compassionate environment, they discover that they are not alone and that hope is possible.

Heart of the Cumberland's Survivors of Su***de Loss Support (SOSL) Group provides a compassionate community where you can share, listen, and find support alongside others who can truly relate.

Our upcoming SOSL group meets once a week, with two options available:

Wednesdays | 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Thursdays | 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Registration is required.

You don't have to carry this alone 💙

Looking for grief support? Our next upcoming community peer-led grief support groups begin August 11 and are open for registration.

We offer 10 different groups, each designed to support individuals experiencing a specific type of loss. Groups meet weekly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays and are held in person, with the exception of our Virtual Caregivers Group.

See the schedule below for the different groups that meet and each group's meeting dates and times.

Childcare is available for Tuesday evening groups, making it easier for parents and guardians with young children to attend. All groups are provided completely free of charge.

If you have questions or would like to speak with someone before registering, please call us at (931) 525-2600.

Join us for one or both of our upcoming BEST Groups Facilitator Trainings!

BEST Groups (Be Each Other’s Support Team) provide a safe, peer-supported space where children and teens can process grief and loss, build emotional awareness, and develop healthy coping skills. Through guided activities and heart-centered lessons, participants experience connection, understanding, and hope — because no child should have to navigate grief alone.

Our upcoming facilitator trainings will prepare volunteers to support students through these meaningful groups:
• Thursday, August 6 — Middle School BEST Groups Training
• Friday, August 7 — Elementary BEST Groups Training

Registration is required, and participants are welcome to register for one or both trainings by either visiting our website or by using the link below:

This Memorial Day, we pause with deep gratitude for the brave men and women who proudly served our country and gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
We also hold close the families, friends, and loved ones who carry both pride and grief in their hearts today. May we never forget the courage, service, and sacrifice that make our freedoms possible.
With remembrance and thankfulness, we honor our fallen heroes today and always.
