Sunday! 🌳 1:00 at the pollinator garden! The Friends of the Tennessee Central Trail need your help! Come plant some trees and shrubs with us around the new pollinator garden site! Thank you for helping make our community and trail more beautiful, enjoyable and green! 🌳🌳🌳

From Fisk Road you’ll turn onto Bowser Rd near Aphena Pharmaceuticals. The road will dead end at a gate near the substation and you’ll see our work crew! The site is typically only accessible by walking/biking, but we are permitted to park along the grass for these project work days.

Things that can be helpful to bring if you have them (not required, just helpful!):
-work gloves
-shovel
-cardboard
-wheelbarrow
-jugs of water from home (for the plants!)
-sunscreen/water (for yourself!)

Exciting news for our UCSORBA friends! This is such a special place, and it’s getting some well deserved transformations. Any local mountain bikers must check it out!

Did you know that Meadow Creek Park is an envisioned trailhead for the Tennessee Central Trail? Just imagine a multi-use trail from the mountain bike trail system at Cane Creek Park all the way up to Monterey’s growing trail system! 🚲

🎉 BIG NEWS FOR MEADOW CREEK PARK! 🚵‍♀️

The City of Monterey has officially voted to partner with UCSORBA on the Meadow Creek trail project!

This is a HUGE step forward and a testament to the hard work, volunteer hours, advocacy, and support our mountain biking community has put into Meadow Creek.

The project will be funded with state-allocated dollars, and the next step will be developing and issuing the official RFP. Once bids are received, they will be reviewed as we move toward making this exciting trail investment a reality.

We are incredibly excited about what this partnership can mean for Meadow Creek, Monterey, and the entire Upper Cumberland. This is an opportunity to create an even stronger trail system, bring visitors to the area, and continue building on the economic and recreational impact of mountain biking in our community.
