Upper Cumberland Habitat for Humanity

Upper Cumberland Habitat for Humanity Building Strength and Self-Reliance through affordable housing in the Upper Cumberland, since 1995 We need dedicated volunteers to help make these repairs.

Upper Cumberland Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit Christian housing ministry, builds affordable homes in partnership with God, families, and individuals in need. We believe that every man, woman, and child should have a safe, affordable, and energy efficient place to live in dignity and stability. UCHFH strives to assist individuals in Putnam and Overton Counties of substandard, unaffordable liv

ing situations. We invite volunteers and partners of all backgrounds to join us in this work. We also have an elderly repair program called Neighbor 2 Neighbor that focuses on individuals over 60 needing affordable home repairs. This program is for senior residents of Putnam and Overton counties who need affordable repairs done to a home that they currently own and live in. The focus is on seniors, age 60 and above and focuses on accessibility improvements, mobility modifications, weatherization enhancements, and critical home repairs that are crucial to help seniors live in their own homes longer. Upper Cumberland HFH wants to make continued homeownership for seniors a reality so they can age in place with the comfort and dignity they deserve. Your financial support, your voice and your time will help bring strength, stability, and independence to families and individuals in need of a decent place to live. Habitat homeowners help build their own home alongside donors and volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Help build a community and a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Thank you to The Clay Lady's Campus and Mid-South Ceramic Supply in Nashville! These wonderful partners hosted a Bowl-a-Thon in March to support this year's Cooking on the Square. They even donated 1,000 pounds of clay!

Our local artists joined their artists and staff in transforming the donated clay into these beautiful bowls. We can't wait for you to see them on the last Friday of October!

Thank you to our Nashville friends! We're so grateful for your generosity. ❤️

What does home mean to you? 🏡❤️

In honor of National Homeownership Month, we asked our staff what home means to them. Their answers reminded us that home is often less about a place and more about the people and memories it holds.

We love helping families build a place where loved ones can gather, milestones can be celebrated, and memories can be made for years to come.

Home is more than a house—it’s the foundation for everything that matters.
