Couldn’t be more proud of these boys. They won both grand champion ham divisions at the fair this year and their hams were auctioned this morning for 89,000. The funds raised go to support the Tennessee FFA Foundation. Clayton graduated last year and Gannon is a senior at WCHS!

RECORD-BREAKING GENEROSITY! 💙💛

Together, we raised an incredible $250,000 at the 11th Annual Tennessee State Fair FFA Ham Breakfast, the highest total in event history!

The record-breaking Grand Champion Ham Auction contributed $89,000 to that total. Congratulations and thank you to our auction winners:

🏆 Grand Champion Packer-Style Ham: Senator Bill Frist, M.D and Tracy Frist, $42,000

We couldn’t be more excited to hear from Senator Frist during this year’s Keynote Conversation!

Tracy and I have learned at our farm that a sense of place carries responsibility. To know a place is to understand its land and water, its history, its people, and what it will take to leave it stronger for the next generation. Agriculture has a unique way of teaching that lesson.

That is one reason I’m looking forward to joining Tennessee FFA students, agricultural leaders, and civic and community leaders this week at the Tennessee State Fair FFA Ham Breakfast.

The gathering brings together those leading Tennessee agriculture today with the young people who will shape its future. FFA is preparing students for careers in farming, agribusiness, and agricultural innovation, and just as importantly, for lives of leadership and service in the communities they call home.

Tennessee’s future depends on both: leaders willing to invest in the next generation, and young people ready to carry that responsibility forward.

We’re looking forward to welcoming Senator Bill Frist to the Tennessee FFA State Fair Ham Breakfast tomorrow morning!

His words capture so much of what this gathering is about: bringing together those leading Tennessee agriculture today with the young people who will carry it forward.

We’re grateful for leaders who recognize the importance of investing in the next generation and excited for the conversation ahead!!

Congratulations to Tennessee’s 2026 National FFA Organization Agriscience Fair national finalists!

The Agriscience Fair challenges FFA members to use scientific research to answer questions and solve problems related to agriculture, food and natural resources. Through their supervised agricultural experiences, or SAEs, students conduct experiments, analyze results and develop ideas that can strengthen agriculture and help prepare our industry for the future.
