Meet Connie Bunyon from Maquoketa, Iowa. Her family describes her as strong, beautiful, and a gift from God. She loved for her family to read to her, and so they made sure to read the Bible to her every day. Her family loved spending time with Connie and holding her; they cherished every minute that they had with her. Her family shares this about Connie: “She taught us so many things, and this journey hasn’t been easy. We cherished every second that we had with her. She taught us the true meaning, and she was a beacon of hope and joy. She was so resilient. Just being in the room with her, she brought so much peace and joy. We love and miss her so much!” Connie, you are loved and missed so much.

The Magnolia Foundation is here to serve families living in the worst of times. Child loss is a path that parents do not want to choose, but so many are forced to walk it. Thank you for continuing to love and honor these families. No one should walk this path alone.

It is hard to speak it aloud, but we know it's important that we do.
It's important to honor our daughter by telling her story.
It's important to encourage others to do the same to honor their children, too.

Invite those you love to share a special memory or story they have of the child they have lost. They may say no this time, but you will give them an opportunity to remember and reflect on something they love about their precious child.

This thought from author Megan Devine resonates with us at the Magnolia Foundation. We cannot fix this. We cannot solve this. We cannot and will not try to move on.

But we will carry this burden with you. We will walk with you. We will support you in ways we are able. We will remind you that you and your child are loved and remembered.

We do not believe the Lord took our girl from us. We believe he is holding our girl for us. And Hattie loves to be held.
